    Backup runningback...

Who is going to be our backup rb in case TH goes down? Knock on wood that doesn't happen but I am not very comfortable with anyone we have on our roster to be able to step in. Who is out there that we could pick up?

Decent. How much do you think he would ask for?

we are not deep at rb or qb. we have sammy morris (converted fb) and AVP (converted salesman). we need to focus on some depth. I wouldnt mind us signing or drafting a rb or qb (like dorsey) late for depth.

AVP Rules, and Morris is very underrated. I am more than comfortable with our depth at both spots.

I am fine with AVP, I don't know why everyone bags on him so much. He's beenn a decent backup and is willing to be a backup, and that is huge. I think we could use more depth at RB

AVP was gonna start for us this season if we didnt sign Bledsoe, He is fine depth. Morris looked GREAT in limited action that he had this season. I think he could be a great backup given the chance.

I wouldn't be suprised if AVP is cut.

We should take a look at Olandis Gary if he doesn't get any serious offers.

Morris has performed very well going back to his rookie season. Did you guys forget who was the only one who could punch TD's in for us that year? With Henry coming along Morris has been a key special teams player for us. Sammy Morris is a huge asset to this team and he has earned a chance to get more carries. Every time he has had his chances he has performed why do people forget that?

I would not be surprised if we draft a QB on day one especially if there is a top-notch one available when we get to a pick. In a couple years we are going to be staring Bledsoe's contract in the face. Getting a QB in this draft could be the singlemost thing we can do to manage our long-term cap situation. The new guy can develop and study under Bledsoe and in a couple years could be the hottest QB property on the market because of his development time and his not having been ruined by playing too much when he was young. Even if Brown has come along he's not going to get to play here we would be much better served to spend that roster spot on a young guy with tons of upside.

Emmitt huh? I am sure he would want too much money and playing time.

No way TD Emmit Smith is not a good fit here at all. I hope you were joking.
