just for fun lets say that the deal with spikes is in fact for darwin walker...

(Personally i think McCargo will end up having a better year then triplett but for arguments sake use either/or)

If we're going to lose Spikes, we might as well get a player for him.

At worst, we'd go into the draft with Anderson's replacement in the fold, but as thin as paper at LB. Better hope nobody snags Willis before us, or we'll be scrambling to make a move.

Ellison - Crowell -Briggs

Instead of drafting Willis , we draft Okoye and use the cap space freed from Spikes for Briggs.

According to a couple of personnel people around the league, the Eagles are shopping defensive tackle Darwin Walker -- Buffalo, Green Bay and Minnesota apparently all have been contacted -- in hopes of adding a draft pick or moving up in a later round of the draft.

Patrick Willis, the middle linebacker from Mississippi, has caught the Lions' eye. He's the best player in the draft at his position. He has a lot of the qualities Ernie Sims displayed at Florida State, and again in his rookie season with the Lions.

The problem is they are trading spikes to get rid of MONEY.. THey aint signing anybody else.

At least not a proven starter.. They will sign a couple of recycling bins for depth, that's it.

Spikes is a money move.. thats the way it is.
