Also, there are no indications the Giants are major players for Bills LB Takeo Spikes at this point. Yes, there have been reports he's headed to either the Giants or Eagles in a trade, but from everything I've gathered the Giants have not made a major push. Maybe a conversation or two just to kick the tires, but nothing major.

Sorry to tell you a sweepstakes is usually when more then one person is vying for his services. So it is a sweepstakes no matter what the comensation is or what you think it will be.

Get over it!

Spikes wasn't here for the last 2 seasons anyway. Can someone explain to me what we are missing?

He took all of 3.6 seconds to make his presence known last year after drilling Tom Brady and forcing a fumble on the first play of the season.

He then hurt his hamstring badly and it slowed him down severely all year.

So lets give up on a Pro Bowl LB because of that. If his achiles was THAT bad, he wouldnt have been on the field on the first play of scrimmage and wouldn't have almost taken Brady's head off.

There is NO sense in trading him for a late draft pick at this stage of the game, other than economics.. ZERO!
