im on vacation in aruba this week. last night g/f and i decided to goto radison casino turned a corner and there u go. MULARKY. was pretty funny becuz i just looked at him and said MULARKY!!!! so go to talking to him and one of his friends about the bills. my first question was about willis i asked him if hes as big an idiot as ive been reading on sites and so on. his response was rather funny.

he paused for a sec looked at me and said bigger hewouldnt expand on it so i left it alone.

next thing he said to me has spikes been traded yet i said yeah 2 days ago he asked where i said eagles he was very surprised and said bills D just lost their emotional leader. he then asked what we got i said walker and that we also got rid of the BUM. to which he started to laugh. he said walker was a solid player so its an even trade.

but this led us to JP and KELLY HOMOBUM talk. i asked what he was thinking putting in holcomb 2 years ago. he claimed it wasnt his call. i told him that JP was the future and i thought it ridiculous to not give him those 4 games. he said look i was one of the people really gunning to draft him it wasnt my call. so i guess donahoe was making that call

after that i asked him about marv and what is real story behind him leaving he said family but morso wasnt comfortable with way front office was being built.

he was quick to say marv does nothing!!!! he wasnt cursing about marv so i said to him then modrak is running the show he said yeah but was a bit apprehensive he said modrak is in buffalo in his exact words 3 days a year i said has t be more then that hes like maybe a couple days but hes in jacksonville basically full time. so i was like then what u saying jim overdorf is the GM. hes like how u know that. i said well hes the finance guy so it has to be him. he said he was surprised that i knew the name of overdorf i told him with a chuckle im a little hardcore when it comes to the bills.

after that we talked a bit about how to get foot into door into NFL management side of things he liked my idea i wont share and i told him ill let him and his buddy do their thing and didnt want to take up anymore of his time.

on the whole even though he wasnt that good as our coach mularky was a real nice guy and was more then willing to talk bills football for the 15-20 minutes we talked.

Interesting...was Donahoe really the one forcing Holcomb over JP? God, if that's the case, Donahoe is the one that needs to be strung up and beaten!!!

That's really cool!!!!

Don't kid yourself, TD ran the team with an iron fist. I highly doubt that Marv is just sitting there.

Interesting. Some of what you describe makes sense. I question whether he's close enough to know Levy does nothing. Thanks for posting it.

He did touch on one big problem.... Modrak doesn't live in Buffalo. Ralph doesn't live in Buffalo. And I believe that Marv doesn't live there either.

I'm not surprised about the Marv thing. He's always given credit to the people around him.

He was seen playing black-jack.

I'd believe that up to the point Mularkey left. Marv was a first time GM for exactly a week. Out of that week, how much of that time did he actually spend with Marv? 3 days tops most likely which were probably Marv's first three days.

How would he know that Marv is never here? He left like a week after Levy got hired.

What isn't bs is how bad that a-hole Donahoe really screwed this team:
terrible drafts-didn't look into backgrounds and mindset of key picks {see Mcgahee and baby mikey}
poor head coach selections-due to his own insecurities
and lastly, he was the reason for stunting JP's growth due to sitting him on the bench at the end of 2005.
Unreal. But to some he would know all because he was an NFL gm. I got news for some of you, alot of those gm's don't know squat.

If this nonsense story is true - than The Answer has new respect for Donablow for knowing that Holcomb was the better QB in 2005 and could have led us to the playoffs if he started all season.

I don't know why he said that. Almost everyone agrees that JP should have been benched after the New Orleans game.

No, what happened was Donablow was dumb enough to playout a meaninless string of games in 2005 with a journyman qb to maybe win a game or two, but in the long run hurt the franchise.

Some people forget that JP was hurt for the last couple of games in 2005.

Donablow was trying to save his job since JP wasn't ready and the pressure from the vets was getting to him.

Like I said, he did what was the best for himself and what was the worst for the franchise.

For the first time since the 2004 season, I kind of like Mike Mularkey again, solely for calling McGahee a jerk. Best of luck, Mike.

No. He split two tens.

Unless the dealer is showing a 6 or lower I wouldn't split those 10's

Take the money and run

Honestly, nothig really surprising here

Willis is a bigger idiot then most think, that's believeable and pretty much proven

Tom Donablow flip flopped on JP and stuck Holcomb in to please his FA vet acquisitions, that's believeable.

Marv doesn't run anything, which I think is BS, Marv just uses the brain trust surrounding him and keeps everyone focused on what's best for the team. I think Marv just uses a different management style.

Losing Takeo means we lost an emotional leader, that's believeable too.

I'll be in Maui next week, I wonder if I will run into any former Bills players or coaches ?

Or you could have kindly reminded him that he doesn't know how to beat the Buffalo Bills, or the city of Buffalo!!

i just wanted to bump this thread from last year and my run into mike mularky and what he said then.

that jim overdorf was actually the GM and marv just a figure head.

maybe marv didnt want to be a figure head anymore and truly doesnt like what is going on here and just wants to wash his hands clean and not have his legacy tainted by this BUM coaching staff

and also for those who didnt believe what i said in that post

http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/news/story?id=3173961

levy's role as GM was relatively undefined, although he provided input on the team's draft and personnel decisions, consulted with Jauron and also stayed in close contact with Wilson, who lives in suburban Detroit.

Levy, however, stayed out of contract talks, leaving that job to team vice president Jim Overdorf.

He never denied that he did not do much with contracts.

You really are not proving anything here.
