Thank you for signing with Buffalo and enduring a losing culture when you could have signed with a better team.

Thank you for giving this team a chance in 2005 when JP clearly wasn't ready to play in this league.

Thank you for the big win against the Bengals and giving underpriviledged fans in western New York a glimmer of hope and early Christmas present.

Don't forget about the bomb to Lee Evans on the first play of the game that set the tone - even though according to some people here Holcomb can't throw the deep ball.

BTW, he loses arm strength after 3-4 starts and showed none in the preseason last year.

What about New England? - The wily vet should have led us to our first win in Foxboro in quite some time if it wasn't for the defense blowing it yet again.

Also your wrong with your assessment regarding last year's preseason - Holcomb looked rocked solid and Jauron was tempted to go with the veteran. That's why we need to credit Holcomb and his competitive nature for lighting a fire under JP.

About that bomb to Evans ...

When Holcomb released the ball, I decided to order a pizza. They told me it would be 25 minutes, but it turned into 40. When the delivery guy got to the door, I gave him a 20, but he didn't have the right change. So he had to drive back to the pizza place and return with the correct change. Of course, they had to bake me a new pizza as well. So by the time I got the pizza and he had the right change, it was well over an hour. I took the pizza back upstairs, opened it, sliced a couple of pieces and sat down to resume watching the game.

And then Evans caught the ball.

That Bengals game fulfilled Holcomb's career annual quota of one good game per season.

That was no Christmas present. That meaningless win (and it was due to McGee more than Holcomb) costed the Bills either D'Brickshaw Ferguson or Vernon Davis.. Take your pick.

How sick would JP be with Lee Evans AND Vernon Davis as weapons.. ughh
