Not really much news here: :snooze:

http://assets.espn.go.com/i/sn2.gif Todd McShay: Lot's to discuss today. The fallout of a couple trades (Falcons/Texans and Bills/Eagles), as well as recent workouts at Penn State, Louisville, South Carolina and USC (Dwayne Jarrett specifically). Let's get to it...
Rick (Louisville): Where do you see Mike Bush going? Will his 2nd surgery he just had hurt his draft status?

http://assets.espn.go.com/i/sn2.gif Todd McShay: Unfortunately, Bush's recent surgery really sets him back from a draft-stock standpoint. Teams have very little information on him from a timing/testing standpoint. He also has a tendency to get over-weight and teams are concerned about his conditioning/work ethic, as a result. I think Bush will come off the board late on Day 1. Had he stayed healthy and finished the 2006 season strong, we could be talking about Bush as the third RB in this class behind Adrian Peterson and Marshawn Lynch

joe (Erie, CO): TODD!!TODD!!ME!!ME!!ME!! Who would legitmately be looking to trade up if either Quinn or Peterson fall to number 5?

http://assets.espn.go.com/i/sn2.gif Todd McShay: Your school teachers must have loved you, Joe. It's obviously hard to project right now b/c teams are still looking into FA and trades at both positions, especially QB. But for the right asking price Buffalo and GB are two teams that would be interested in Peterson, and Miami, Carolina and possibly even KC could be interested in Quinn. People say Minnesota at No. 7 but I'm not buying that...

CC (Atlanta): The Falcons @ 8... can they pass up Adrian Peterson if available? He fits Petrino's big back O.

http://assets.espn.go.com/i/sn2.gif Todd McShay: I don't think they could. They obviously have much greater needs at DS, OT and DT, but Peterson would be too good of a value at No. 8. Dunn is slowing with age and while Norwood is fast and promising, he's not the ideal prototype for Petrino's offense. A Peterson-Norwood tandem would fit well for what Petrino likes to do.

Chris (Delaware): Where would adrian peterson go if not drafted early?

http://assets.espn.go.com/i/sn2.gif Todd McShay: I'm assuming you mean if he wasn't taken in the top-five... I think the absolute worst case scenario for Peterson is slipping to the Bills at No. 12. But I will be shocked if that happens. I think if Peterson gets to Arizona at No. 5 there will be teams (Bills and Packers are the obvious two) that will consider trading up for him. I also think Peterson could still go No. 3 to the Browns.

KILL THE COMBINE (Draft purgatory): Your earlier comments on Timmons' size and speed remind me of DeMeco Ryans last year. Originally projected as a top-5 pick, he dropped to the 2nd round despite his impressive career at 'Bama, all because he measured one inch less than expected and ran the 40 slower than expected by about 0.15 secs. Look how that turned out! Too much emphasis on times and measurements, too little on what a guy actually does on the field.

http://assets.espn.go.com/i/sn2.gif Todd McShay: That's not a good comparison at all. I know what you're saying in terms of over-emphasis on combine/workout numbers -- and you're spot on regarding Ryans. But Ryans was a productive three-year starter in the SEC. Timmons, on the other hand, was only a fulltime starter for one season at FSU. I think Timmons can be a very good player at the next level, but we had a lot more film to evaluate on Ryans than we have now with Timmons.

http://assets.espn.go.com/i/sn2.gif Todd McShay: If Posluszny didn't workout as well as he did (combine and PSU Pro Day), and then fell to Round 2, he would be a good comparison with Ryans.
