That is the biggest question......assuming AP is gone and Willis goes before us and Marv doesn't like Lynch what do we do with the 12th pick in the draft?

i would really like him if we traded down but i also like many of the CBs that will be available in the later rounds
Darrelle Revis? :idunno:

I like what i've read about Posluszny. Even with Ellison emerged we are very thin here.. I'm by no means a draftnik, but i try to read everyday about the draft class.

-Pos- High character, fast in pads, maybe a trade down a couple spots too

besides that i have no idea so i 2nd the thread starters question.

Actually my honest opinion is that they have their eyes on both OLBs....I'm thinking our "reach" pick is....

LB Paul Posluszny - Penn State

or

LB Lawrence Timmons - Florida State

but the best thing about it, is that Pos would really piss off patmoran. :snicker:

Why is he so against the pick? The position or the player, or both?

If we can't get Willis or Lynch for whatever reason, I think we go with Timmons.

okoye, hall, revis, meacham, beason, ginn, timmons, its goes on and on if we cant get one guy it isnt going to break our draft at #12 there are a lot of options left still and i think willis is an outstanding player and the best linebacker in the draft however the drop off is not as great as people are making it out to be. we could still get a quality starter in the second and even 3rd rounds

I like character guys, too, but it's not clear to me that Lynch is a real problem. Marv always talks about not confusing personality with character, and it may be that Lynch is kind of a unique, high spirited personality rather than a guy lacking in character.

I wouldn't rule him out.

We'll get an impact player at 12

Pos struggled with a posistion change this season and many people think that his college production will not translate well. He showed severe recognition issues on some plays and all and all just struggled last season. For somebody who was expected to be one of, if not the most dominant LB in College Football last year he was quite dissapointing.

Pos. I want him over Willis to be honest.

Btw the best choice imo for this team at OLB is Jon Beason

One thing I see about Marv is he will take a player rated lower that has very high character. He always gets questioned but one thing I noticed players with questionable character players they seem to always be a crap shoot with half of them never able to play up to there ability. Players with high character always seem to play at there ability and above. One of those give 110% kind of people.

I think they will try to trade down. If they do not I could see it being a player rated anywhere from 15-25 and Mel Kiper and company ripping on the Bills again for reaching for a player.

OKOYE

I'd love him. But I think we've filled out DTs for the year, for better or worse.

OKOYE
For one, I don't think Okoye will be there at #12, and two, we need a LB and a RB that early in the draft than we do another DT to add to the rotation. We have DTs on the roster and enough of them to actually play a game and be somewhat successful but I can't say that for LB and RB. The real Marv leavy knows this.

I would say Okoye too, but only because I think he's special and would represent the best value at #12. He could be the perfect cover 2 DT, and good DT's are pretty critical in the cover 2. He might not be there though either.

I guess to really be able to answer the question we'd have to know how the rest of the 11 prior picks go. But I guess if we can't get Willis, Peterson, Okoye, or Lynch, I would try my hardest to trade down. I don't know who would be willing to trade up though.

Okoye shouldn't be around when we pick

Lynch is sick!!! We need to take that guy if we have the opportunity. I've watched him the past couple years in the Pac-10 and he is the real deal.

I'd be happy with this Day1

1) Paul Posluzny ... hopefully trade down to get a 3rd as well
2) Brian Leonard ... RB in 2007, FB in 2008
3a) Anthony Gonzalez ... if necessary putting the 2 R3s together
3b) Tim Shaw ... if we can avoid having to use the extra R3
