All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
I was just going to start this thread but you beat me to it.
I'd say neither for our 1st round pick, unless we are able to pick up another late 1st round or another 2nd round pick in the package. If that were possible then Turner just because I think there are more good/decent LB's that can be had later in this draft.

but drafts are a crapshoot and Briggs is a proven probowler. I'd have to go with Briggs on this one. IMO , it's easier to find Porters in the draft than it is to find Urlachers /Briggs in the draft. Plus Briggs already fits the cover 2. RB's are also a dime a dozen , no?
In case you haven't noticed, we have a huge hole at both positions and need a bonifide player. Not a faceless draft pick who's NFL experience equals Zero.
The Bills will know the market and contract demands for both, before taking further steps.
Anonymity is an abused privilege, abused most by people who mistake vitriol for wisdom and cynicism for wit
I'd give up 12 for Briggs straight up and maybe more. I just can't see opening the vault like that for turner. If our first can grab one i'd have to take briggs.
I believe RB's are a dime a dozen with a good Oline, and a good LB is harder to find. I'll take Briggs. The draft is a crap shot and I will gladly say;
"With their 1st round selection the Buffalo Bills select Lance Briggs from the Chicago Bears!"

I'd be happy with either Turner or Briggs for the right price. Briggs/Crowell/Ellison would be a nice package to put on the field, I agree. I'm just fearful this team will overpay for Briggs because we are desperate for LB now after trading spikes. We could probably get Turner for cheaper than Briggs and still draft a P. Willis/Poz/Beason...etc. and be ok at LB.
I'd give the 1st rounder to the Bears for Lance Briggs in a heartbeat! RB is easier to fill, so I'd only go as high as our 2nd round for Turner. But maybe add a conditional pick for him.
