NHL commissioner Gary Bettman died Saturday night of a reported drug overdose in a popular Toronto gay/lesbian/transvestite club. Witnesses claim Bettman had disguised himself as a woman and was a frequent patron of the gay/lesbian/transvestite club. Emergency workers responded to the scene after the 12 year old Philippino boy Bettman was "chaperoning" stormed out of the bathroom screaming hysterically.
All over Canada and much of the United States fans are celebrating. An intern commissioner is expected to be announced later this afternoon following an emergency meeting of the NHL board of governors. Rumor has it that Don Cherry is the favored candidate for the job. Cherry, when questioned about what he would do should he be offered the job, responded by saying that he would push to move hockey teams out of markets like Flordia, Carolina, Phoenix, and Nashville and bring them to Hartford, Halifax, Winnipeg, and Quebec. After which he would institute "no touch" icings and remove the instigator rule.
