This is a terrific preseason schedule from a defensive preparation standpoint.

Of course, the starters for either team will only play so much. But assuming the starters get at least a few series against each other, we'll get to see and evaluate ourselves against two very fast and mobile QB's (Vick - Atlanta and Young - Tennessee), one very good multi-faceted offense (New Orleans) with a great pure drop-back QB (Brees), and, well, the Lions.

Getting that kind of stuff on film in real game-type situations is invaluable for evaluation and regular season preparation when taking on similar types of opponents.
