ive been sitting here for last couple days going over and over whats bills are to do to fill holes on this team.

i have come to one simple conclusion

PATRICK WILLIS IS A MUST. 4.3 40 yard dash hes a tackling machine hes the type of player that is a game changer.

i have been teeter tottering between him and lynch with draft pick and have come to a simple conclusion. there are 3-4 capable RB's in draft every year another 3-4 capable RB's in FA in fact right now we have option of chris brown in FA and still have option to trade for Turner. However how many serious LB prospects are there on a yearly basis the last few years it doesnt even avg 1 that are 1st round quality.

we need to draft PATRICK WILLIS at 12 and either trade for turner with a 2nd and something or sign chris brown or someone like him.

LB's that are studs do not grow on trees there are a ton of RB's avaialble in many ways EVERY YEAR!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The clear best linebacker in the draft who run a sub 4.4, guys he'll be gone by 12.

That's what I was thinking as well. That sub 4.4 really pushed him up the charts.

But if he DOES happen to be there, we have to take him.

A agree. That type of speed is too perfect for this "cover two" defense. He could potentially play inside like Urlacher or on the outside like Derrick Brooks. Either way, he would be a potential lynchpin for the success of the Bills defense.

I don't know... the Niners are the only team that scare me. I think the teams above that who need a LB will have other players graded higher. Although, I did see this tidbit from ESPN today (their latest mock):

2. Detroit (3-13) (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/clubhouse?team=det)
Projected pick: Joe Thomas (http://insider.espn.go.com/nfldraft/draft/tracker/player?draftyear=2007&id=11207), OT, Wisconsin
Needs: ILB, QB, S, CB, TE, OT, DE
The Lions' chances of trading out of this spot diminished when the Texans, who were interested in QB Brady Quinn (http://insider.espn.go.com/nfldraft/draft/tracker/player?draftyear=2007&id=10302), struck a deal with the Falcons for QB Matt Schaub. Drafting Quinn is still a possibility, but if stuck at No. 2, the team will likely choose to upgrade around the QB position. It's too high to take players at positions of more pressing need, such as ILB Patrick Willis (http://insider.espn.go.com/nfldraft/draft/tracker/player?draftyear=2007&id=11281), S LaRon Landry (http://insider.espn.go.com/nfldraft/draft/tracker/player?id=10878) and CB Leon Hall (http://insider.espn.go.com/nfldraft/draft/tracker/player?draftyear=2007&id=10731). Instead, Thomas should be the pick. He's one of only a few good values at No. 2 overall and can be used to help solidify the offensive line.

I suppose the possibility exists that a team could trade down for him... bottom line - if he's there, he's gotta be the pick. If he's not, I'd say trade down or deal it for Turner.

word. he's an immediate impact player and the potential star that this defense needs.

I think Marv will work a trade to move up a few spots to grab him. Marv knows you need at least one superstar on defense (aka Bruce Smith) to make the move to a playoff team. The fact that we haven't even been looking for a FA to fill the holes at LB seems to point to that course of action.

I agree and that's why Marv is trying to hold onto the #12 pick.

The forty yard dash is the second most overrated thing in football (next to the QB rating.)

I don't know about that, a 101 rating helped = a SB win for manning last year, numbers usually tell part of a story.

willis in first irons in the second would to me mean the bills have had the best possible rounds 1 and 2 from my point of view

I'll agree with the 1st. Willis and Turner would be great!!!

However, I'd have to see what "neither" would be replaced with and doubt I would call it a disaster regardless. A disaster is what Oakland was last year and I don't think we are anywhere close to that!
