Seems like Titans meeting with Turner is over

Titans | Team hoping Turner would compliment White
    Tue, 3 Apr 2007 10:25:41 -0700

Updating a previous item, Jay Posner, of the San Diego Union-Tribune, reports the Tennessee Titans met with San Diego Chargers restricted free agent RB Michael Turner Monday, April 2. The Titans are looking for a back that can compliment RB LenDale White.

Being that today is Tuesday, I BET you're right on with that assumption.

More and more I don't think A.J. Smith cares one way or the other. He wants a 1st & 3rd or else he'll just be content to let Turner be LT's insurance policy this year.

No he'll be traded ill bank on that, no one will sign him for a 1st and 3rd, but the compensation will be close.

If we can't get him for a 2nd/3rd, swap of 1st rounders or something like that, I'd prefer to wait til draft day. If Patrick Willis is gone at 12, I'd trade them our 1st and maybe a later round pick (2008?).
Wake up, brush your teeth, and get ready for a day of hating the Dolphins. Or the Pats? How to choose?

Not going to happen i'll dedicate my sig to you for the entire bills season if it does. Smith has said that he's open to a trade. No team will give them a first and third this year for turner.

the 1st and 3rd won't even be a trade and Smith knows that. That's what it would cost if you signed Turner to an offer sheet. Not traded for him. I guarantee that Turner will be had for less than that. I'm thinking that Smith wants a 1st rounder and a conditional pick and people are laughing at him right now. But I wouldn't be surprised if he eventually lowers his demands

I agree, despite what AJ has said "and he's already back pedaled" he will accept less then a 1st and a 3 for turner.

Kind of funny that a deal isn't done yet. Turner isn't worth a first. Matter of fact the best RB available got (2) 3rds and a 7th.
