Dillon a Titan according to Nashville radio station

Nashville Sports Radio predicting "Corey Dillon is a done deal"
The Sports Reporters (Don West) on Nashville sports radio say (quoting their inside sources and Corey Dillon himself) that a contract worth about $5.3 million is about to signed by Dillon within the next day or so with the Titans.

If this is true I wonder what this means for us and Turner

this is a response to the post....

the more I think of it though, was it really necessary to pay him 5.3 million? If it is for 2 years I could see it, but he is pretty old
    I believe it is multi-year.

I'm not saying this is "gospel"...but Don West was pretty confident and talked directly to Dillon last night.

the exact numbers may swing a little before all is said and done.

and again...until the contract is signed, anything can happen...

    so let's wait and see.

i personally would rather see Turner...but I think Dillon is an asset and more economical.

Nothing if Turner is really looking for four years $28 million.

          Sounds a bit more realistic.

I bet we sign Chris Brown now. It was between the Bills and Titans...the writing is on the wall

I think we have San Diego right were we want them. Our second rounder and maybe a third for Turner. Maybe just a second.

I heard that too...sounds like Turner may be in the fold with the Titans.

This is great news if true. They did just invest a 2nd rounder last year, so hopefully they are just looking for a back to push Lendale a little bit and Turner's asking price is too much. I doubt the titans would want to spend a 2nd round draft pick on an RB two years in a row.

Who else is interested in Turner? This could be great news.

I am just worried that Marv and the Bills are no longer interested as well.

Re: Dillon a Titan according to Nashville radio station

                      This story doesn't hold water.

Dillon's visit has been postposed, per the Nashville Tennessean:

Veteran free agent running back Corey Dillon will not visit the Titans on Wednesday as initially planned, Titans General Manager Mike Reinfeldt said Tuesday.

The plan is for Dillon, who played for the New England Patriots the past two seasons, to visit later this week or early next week, according to the GM.

The Titans on Monday entertained San Diego Chargers running back Michael Turner and on Tuesday Reinfeldt said he’s had “general discussions” with Turner’s agent, Bus Cook, about a contract for the restricted free agent. Reinfeldt said he’s also been in discussions with the Chargers about appropriate draft pick compensation for Turner.
That is straight from the mouth of the Titans GM. It sounds like they are going to see what it takes to get Turner first.

Free agent Corey Dillon's visit to Tennessee has been postponed.
The Titans have entered preliminary contract talks with restricted free agent Michael Turner, who took a physical with the team's medical staff on Tuesday. Titans GM Mike Reinfeldt says "nothing is imminent," but admitted to speaking with the Chargers about a potential trade. Dillon might opt for retirement if Tennessee can strike a deal with Turner.

Retire already, Corey. I think you're going to set a record for cancelling/postponing visits. You did it multiple times to us.
