Bruins to start goalie prospect

As a rather dreary Boston Bruins season nears its end, another interesting element will spice up Tuesday's match.

Goaltender Hannu Toivonen, who began the season as the club's expected No. 1 but played himself to Providence, has been recalled and will face the Montreal Canadiens.

Toivonen is also scheduled to go Thursday against the powerful Buffalo Sabres, perhaps a payback for his attitude and play in Providence.

yeah- I was just thinking that putting him in against a high powered team could permanently wreck his confidence. Of course, if he actually beats us it will have the opposite effect- but it's still a risky move. A high-powered team like the Sabres playing for the best record in the NHL vs a team playing only for pride- that's a tough matchup.

What ever happened to him? All I heard in the pre season was how great he was going to be this year. Oh well lets kick his ass and move on to the next victim.

Vanek owned him, especially on his second goal and on the pass to Roy. So did Kotalik on his goal

He doesn't suck...that's an ignorant statement. I have seen him a few times and I think the kid has some talent. His team sucks and the Sabres would have won 10-2 if it wasn't for him.
