If Buffalo makes a trade with San Diego for Turner, by FAR the best Buffalo can realistically do is agree to swap 1st Rounders..
Exhibit A
Buffalo moves down to 30 and SD moves up to 12. The swap constitutes 580 points on the draft value chart. Buffalo loses those points BUT picks up Turner, still has a first round pick and gets to keep all of their other first day picks. They'd end up with 4 first day picks, PLUS Turner.
Exhibit B
Buffalo trades their second (43rd) and third (74th) rounders for Turner.
In this case; Buffalo would be making the worse value trade possible. They'd lose 690 value points on draft day (as opposed to 580 in Exhibit A)- They'd have Turner but only two other first day picks instead of four.
Exhibit C
Buffalo trades their second (43rd) and Baltimore's third (92nd) for Turner.
This case is bad, but not as bad as Exhibit B. WE'd lose 602 value points, and still have only 2 first day picks plus Turner.
Exhibit D
Buffalo trades their second rounder (43rd) straight up for Turner.
This is the second best option. WE'd lose 470 value points; have Turner, keep the 12th pick and still have two third rounders. In this scenario, you're basically "drafting" Turner over Pittman or Irons.
Going by this: It has to be "A" or "D". I think B and C are too much to give up. I really like option "D" the best; as we could keep our second rounder. If Willis isnt there, we can move down and recoup that second rounder anyway. The question is if San Diego would part for a second rounder.
Of course, we might be able to package a second this year and a third next year to soften the blow from this draft.
All I know is the only two deals I would NOT make if I'm Levy is B or C. I think a 2nd and a 3rd, both THIS year is too much to give up for him.
