He probably was tendered an offer, and they just made it official today.

I like Hargrove, he can rotate in at DT if there are injuries during the season and is a decent special teamer. His energy has to be contagious, every football team needs a guy like him.

      Anthony Hargrove-DL- Bills Apr. 5 - 7:36 pm et

Bills re-signed DE Anthony Hargrove to a one-year, $850,000 contract.
Hargrove, just 23, had seven sacks as a starter for the Rams in 2005 but Buffalo felt inclined to guarantee Chris Kelsay $14 million to stay on as a starter. For now, Hargrove is fourth on the depth chart at defensive end.

wasn't he a restricted free agent and they tendered him a contract? maybe he finally signed the tender.

maybe this year he climbs the depth chart, makes some plays, and we lock him up long term, and switch him to DE full-time.

I bet by the end of the year, Kelsay gets bumped down to third, and Denny maybe doesn't even make it past training camp.

                    Re: Hargrove Re-Signed (NFLN)

He was tendered earlier. Like another, I assume he signed his tender. It made no sense for him to sign it without seeing if he got some other offers. I'm glad he's sticking around. With Denney and Kelsay dropping some weight to gain speed, Hargrave is now easily our sturdiest DE. Even though hes heavier, he might still be as quick or quicker than Dennelsay, but there may be times when it is to the Bills' advantage to have a bigger DE in the lineup even if he never plays DT again.
I've made up my mind. Don't confuse me with the facts.

I'm the most reasonable poster here. If you don't agree, I'll be forced to have a hissy fit.

Great move. Hargrove is really young, with a world of potential. I can see him in a starting role in a year or two.
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?

Hargrove is mediorce at best - but no surprise to The Answer there's so much enthusiam over borderline camp fodder like Hargrove.
