Thu, 5 Apr 2007 20:17:18 -0700
<A href="http://www.kffl.com/player/5894/nfl">Chris Brown, of Bills.NFL.com (http://www.kffl.com/link/156), reports if acquired by the Buffalo Bills (http://www.kffl.com/team/9/nfl), restricted free-agent RB Michael Turner (http://www.kffl.com/player/9483/nfl) would be the odds on favorite to land the starting running back job among a backfield that consists of RB Anthony Thomas (http://www.kffl.com/player/330/nfl), RB Shaud Williams (http://www.kffl.com/player/9491/nfl), and RB Fred Jackson (http://www.kffl.com/player/13666/nfl).

Now, now, I'm sure there will be a fair and open competition at camp, and only at the end of preseason will the starter be named.

Why is he a puppet? He's employed by the Buffalo Bills and does his job accordingly, why is that such a crime? As if anyone on here would even be remotely qualified to do what he does...

His title should be "Public relations", not "reporter".

In other news the sun is hot.

exactly. He only tells exactly what the team wants him to leak out, never anything breaking. Nothing that tips the team's hand. His stuff always gets filtered by the Bills, before it goes up. I guarantee it.

I'll go with that.

I think Brown does a pretty good job at reporting Bills news, and I think they give him a good amount of freedom in doing so. He voices his opinion at times if he has a criticism. He often speculates and analyzis with what seems to be genuine knowledge. I'm sure he often throws out some info on the team's interest or other info involving transactions from the FO in order to throw other teams off, but his info is generally pretty good. He's sort of like a Bills-only Adam Schefter.
