The North County Times reports the Buffalo Bills revealed that restricted free-agent RB Michael Turner visited the team on Thursday, prompting Chargers GM A.J. Smith to confirm that the two teams have held trade discussions. Turner is tendered at a level that would require any team signing him to a free-agent offer sheet to give up first- and third-round draft picks if the Chargers don't match it. The more likely scenario is that a trade will be worked out in which a team acquires Turner at a lower cost. "We have had dialogue over the possibility of Michael Turner joining the Buffalo Bills and we have exchanged thoughts on compensation," Smith said. "Right now, like I've said before, it's a one and a three, but we will continue to be flexible. We're very open to any package." The Chargers and Tennessee Titans have also conducted trade talks regarding Turner.

Why pay $1000 when you can get what you want for $500?

Can we actually prove that AJ Smith will take less, all this about AJ taking a lower price for Turner is speculation by reporters. If that is what your getting at.

I don't know, since I've never really seen him play (which is also true for any college player).

He's worth no more than a #2.

If he was in the draft I wouldn't draft him at #12, that's for sure. He was a 5th rounder 3 years ago who has done a good job as a backup.

If we give up any deal that has our number one pick, even just giving up their sneakers, I'll be super pissed. Plenty of talent in the second round that could potentially be better than Turner.

Turner has proven nothing yet. For all of the *****ing about Willis he still has run for 3500 yards. We got (2) 3rds and a 7th. Is turner worth more than that?!!

Does anybody know what the point value was on the McGahee trade? Is our 44th pick worth more than that? Just curious.

Really, way I see it, pay attention to this logic we would only be giving up one pick because we have a pick from the Ravens in the third because the of Willis Man he Gay McGahee trade. I think we can talk AJ down and I think we get him.
