I always forget that part of the rules, you don't get an automatic suspension for game misconduct? I know you get an automatic fine. It is Briere's second offense with stick work.

I thought it used to be that two game misconducts earned you an automatic i game suspension. Otherwise suspensions are handed as deemed warranted by NHL deputy commisioner, Colin what's his name.

Just looked it up. I think Brierre will have to pay a $100 fine.

That was hardly a speer. I guess I could see the call, but it wasn't visicous by any means. He got the penalty on reputation.
