        Nelson.

(and why would GB take a CB like Leon Hall in the first round? That's nuts)

I asked that in the GB thread. I'm curious as to why a "win-first" mentality team would draft a guy in RD1 that's gonna be a nickle back for the short term future.

That is kind of like the Jaguars drafting Nelson when they have Donovan Darius.

First off I would think Green Bay wants a running back here. Since the top 2 are gone I don't think they reach for someone that will most likely be there in the third. Other than that maybe a wide receiver.

The Packers have arguably the two best corners in the league, but after that there is a huge dropoff. They can be very exposed in nickel and dime packages. With both starting cornerbacks in their thirties, the Pack will need to add youth in the secondary with an eye on the future.

The defense also has definite needs and cornerback is a position that stands out. Charles Woodson’s injury history could be reason enough for the Pack to look for another cornerback as insurance, even though Woodson has had a productive season. Cornerback - Woodson and Harris had a nice 2006, but both are aging and the team has nobody behind them.

Nelson can also play CB and they need someone to replace Deon Grant....idk why having Darius matters

The Packers could very easily fill their CB need if they don't go with Nelson in the 2nd or 3rd round and get a very good nickel CB who can become their starter when Woodson and Harris retire

i respect your opinion and everyone else who chose Levi Brown but they addressed the O-line by picking up Tony Pashos in FA and drafted Khalif Barnes in the first round recently....idk how well he has performed but if he has performed poorly I doubt they will draft an OT in the 1st round after making that mistake once before

Are you saying to draft a free safety and make him a nickel corner? A free safety who has played safety in high school, juco, and Div I college? Tell me that is what your plan would be.
