View Full Version : Mayock thinks we draft Lynch or Beason

Mr. Miyagi

On his NFL network segment he said we could draft Marshawn Lynch or maybe Jon Beason. And he thought Beason was the best LB in this draft, apparently not Patrick Willis.

Other videos also break down 5 players at a time. Good stuff.

At this point, Im mentaly prepared for just about anything. We hear someone say that about (insert name here) almost everyday.

The Draft fever is here for sure.

Hes a bit too prone to mistakes IMO, I like th 2nd round and 3rd round for LB's more.

Mayock will have a better idea after someone from the Bills calls him or Adam Shefter the day before the draft, like last year.

That Friday night, he placed Whitner in his final mock draft for the Bills pick, out of nowhere.

Who here won't be checking Mayocks pick Friday night ?

This also explains why ESPN trashes us now. After all the mean Marv hiring comments last winter, ESPN is persona non grata at OBD. They get zero inside info from the Bills.

I dont give a crap what they say...per say. But it just would be nice for the media to think outside the box a bit more. They are always stating the painfully obvious. I hear them saying BEFORE the draft, that we have lost many of our vets and havent replaced them therefore we are a weaker team.

DUHHHHH!!! Thats why we have the draft you idiots!

They always over value vets and are quick to trash youth.

That said, it would be flippin nice to get some damn love. I dont need it, but it does make you feel good to hear your team talked about in a positive light.

As far as the latest "cabby", maybe it has become Mayock. I listen to all of them because its fun, but Mayock has made a name for himself and is close to supplanting Kiper IMO. But I think he already has replaced Kiper in most peoples opinions. Kiper has gone by the wayside if you look at how much time idiots like Theismann and Hoge get in comparison to Kiper who actually knows something.

I'll be extremely tempted but will try to avoid the Internet the night before the draft and prior to our pick. I don't want the fun spoiled. At the same time, I really wish I got NFL Network. Watching the morons at ESPN hammer the Bills on draft day will be rough.

For some reason whenever I try to watch those my computer crashes.

Can someone tell me who he has the Pats selecting at 24?

I truly think Marv goes LB with the first round pick. They need a run stopper. He said it all along that they will address stopping the run. Walker is not a run stuffer. Unless AP is there I think LB will be the spot and after last year I would not bet against Mayock.

The main reason ESPN trashes the Bills is...

2000: 8-8
2001: 3-13
2002: 8-8
2003: 6-10
2004: 9-7
2005: 5-11
2006: 7-9

No playoffs.

Do you honestly think ESPN or anyone else would be trashing the Bills if they played like the Eagles, Pats, or Colts the past 7 years?

No, of course not...I was just bringing up that Mortensen was and still is TD's butt buddy. As for the others, yeah if the Bills had been winning they'd all be singing a different tune.

Maybe he is ice fishing in Alaska... :idunno:

You don't think there is a good chance that Mort has some prejudices towards the team that dumped a friend of his?

Granted the losing helps him bash the bills, but his tune about the team did change once TD left.

And if thats the case, better hope the Bills dont announce one of these two names: Lawrence Timmons or Greg Olsen

According to this article (http://www.boston.com/sports/football/patriots/reiss_pieces/2007/03/beason_gets_loo_1.html), he is represented by Marty Magid of MRM Sports & Entertainment, LLC, which is based in Conshohocken, PA.

I've never heard of that agent, but that isn't necessarily a bad thing.

Then why do they kiss the Dolphins' @$$es so much - it's not like they're gonna do anything this year, and if and when they do get to the playoffs, they stumble in because of a good record at the start of the year, and get eliminated no later than divisional playoff because they got lucky and had to play the one team in the AFC that made the playoffs that is weaker than them (see their game against the Seahawks in Marino's last year).

I don't know.

Maybe Mort didn't blast the Bills when TD was here because they were friends.

Realistcally you look at the Bills record the past 7 years, you look at how they reached drafting Whitner so high last year, then you throw in losing McGahee, Spikes, Clements and Fletcher, add in the holes the Bills have at RB, WR, LB, and some say CB, and it's easy to see why people bash Buffalo.

Sure but by the same token, Miami draft Jason Allen in the first round and he did NOTHING. They have zero QB, a RB and WR corp who underachieved last season, lost their starting TE McMichael, an aging defense, a new HC with no head coaching experience.....I can go on and on. Yet they're not at least the worst team in the division?

Big market bias that's what it is.

Is ESPN kissing Miami's ass this year?

Last year people were pumped up about Miami because they brought in Culpepper. Everyone was thinking DC would play the way he did in the Randy Moss years in Minny. He didn't and Miami sucked because of it.

no. but they wouldn't be trashing us if TD was still the GM. They will find a way to make Greghead and Moolarkey look like the next Tuna.

Don't forget .thses are the same guys who praised Saban the whole time he was with the fins. Now that he ran that team to the ground all the way to last place in the AFCE, they still trash the bills more than the fins who are now arguably more questionable than the bills. I'm not saying they are out to get us, they're just stupid.

when they were talking about the bills a couple of weeks ago, they kept saying "their website, their website" , is that how they base their opinions, on the bills website now that TD is gone?

To be honest with you, I think they use wys articles as basis of info.

I don't buy into the sorta 'worldwide' media conspiracy against the Bills... BUT, I think anybody who doesn't some of the main NFL guys at ESPN don't have an axe to grind, is kidding themselves. I will never forget watching last years draft, and how Mortensen was just SEETHING when they talked about the Bills - I mean it was actually disturbing how visibly upset he was..

LIke it or not, other media outlets do listen to these guys, and that coupled with the fact that to the casual observer the Bills lost some 'star' players and haven't replaced them, I can understand most of the negative opinions floating around out there..

What does bother me is that these guys get PAID to be in-the-know about the NFL, and should have a little more insight than the casual observer.. and be able to see what the Bills are trying to accomplish.. but they don't get it.
