Per Adam Schefter (http://www.nfl.com/nflnetwork/story/10123609):

Buffalo welcomed former Chicago Bears standout Warrick Holdman, who spent the past two seasons with the Washington Redskins. The Bills are seeking some linebacking help, and Holdman might be able to add some veteran depth.

we could use a veteran like him.

He played for Jauron in Chicago.

Sadly Coy Wire might be better than this chump right now.

Standout? When was this guy a standout? He's never been anything more than average and he isn't even that good anymore.

Cowbell, I'd take you at LB over this guy...Hell, I'd take Bling Bling Fin Fan as depth over this guy.

As a Browns fan I saw this guy hyped up on his arrival in Cleveland and he was complete and utter garbage. Now, he's coming off even less productive years than his season in Cleveland. And we should be happy that the only guys we entertain on defense are chumps? I really don't understand the mentality of some fans any more.

Is this organization in such a sad state of affairs we cheer and applaud bringing in any joe schmoe off the streets now? By the way, I'm being serious on that question.

I'm not applauding the move but I do think we need a veteran linebacker on the roster. Just because you have previous issues with the guy because he wasn't as good as his "hype" doesn't mean he couldn't be a decent backup.

He's an Aggie, sign him up.

Good depth if added and a veteran presence in the locker room and in the LB unit.

However, he had the best season of his career in 2001 with the Bears.

Remember who was the head coach of that team?

Can he play Tampa 2? That's the only question that matters. It's looks like he was actually pretty productive last season. At 32, he's older, but could potentially have a couple useful years left, but can he play the Tampa 2

this would be a depth signing, which is fine because we have no depth at the position. But he's not the answer we need.

I don't see anything wrong with bringing in a guy for a look. If the FO thinks he can help the team out in any type of capacity, then I'm sure they will offer him something, which right now, I am sure he will accept to ensure he has a job this year.

I was better back in 2001, too.

Despite what some on this board think, not everybody the Bills bring in for a visit is intended to be a starter. The league is filled with role players. If signed, he could provide some needed depth. If signed, he may not even make the team.

What is the harm in checking him out? We can always cut him.

I think this would be a very good pickup. Not saying he'll step up and be a starter/difference maker, but he could be. At one time he and Rosevelt Colvin were big guns on that Chicago defense Jauron built.

If we can get a good deal for him, I'd definitely give him a try.

If Holdman is still breathing he's better than any of our backups.
