Isles look like they know what's coming. Isles offense is taking shots from anywhere on the ice to get a shot count, it's kinda of sad actually.

Isles Power play - Terrible, Sabres had better chances.

Isles 5-5 play - weak at best, kept backing up and let us in.

Isles penalty kill - Chasing people in your own zone is suicide, not good.

Isles 4-4 play - their only slight brightspot tonight, still not quite enough
_______________________________________________________

Sabres did not go all out to kill the Isles in game 1 but played smart, defensive hockey. Lots of time spent in their end and they did not overpass like they do once in a while.

Sabres Power play - looked great and actually was 3-6 but the penalty just expired when Drury scored. Good puck movement and used the points well (obviously when Soupy had 2 goals / 1 assist).

Sabres 5-5 play - Is there any better in the league? Vanek showed multiple times why he won the + / - title.

Sabres Penalty kill - I really think they had more scoring chances than the Isles, so big props.

Sabres 4-4 play - left a little to be desired but the Sabres we're up 4-1 so slacking wouldn't be out of the question.

Bottom line for the Sabres - Foot on the gas until the very end, 9-1 would be ok.

Bottom line for the Isles - Break out the sticks boys and schedule golf for late next week. <!-- google_ad_section_end -->

Drury was great. Zubrus and Campbell had very good games as well.

Max is invisible for the most part in yet another playoff game...Hope this isn't a trend.

Max was invisible?

He had a couple good shifts, but for the most part he wasn't himself most of the game.

Invisible might be kind of harsh because he did play well in the 1st, but he definately needs to step it up considering his playoffs last year.

He just got back so I really didn't want to bring him up but he needs to find open people to pass too when they chase him.
