Is Bledsoe a Hall of Famer

Since some people seem to be getting a little bored or frustrated with the same topics, I thought this was a pretty good question posed by ESPN.

Eric Allen and Joe Theismann both give their opinions, but what is everyone elses?

Plus, in the same article, they ask who has the toughest opening 4 games. Eric Allen picked the Bills. Thought some might be interested.

Is Drew Bledsoe a Hall of Famer? Which early-season game will tell us the most? Our experts reveal all.

He'll make it someday, he'll be in a wheelchair by then but he'll make it.

Yes I believe he is. Love him or hate him, he has the longevity, he has the stats, and hes been on two superbowl teams.

At some point down the road Drew will be in Canton.

Andre Reed better make it there before he does.

Mayock and the guest Analyst on NFLN were going at it last night. Mayock considered Drew a good Qb but not a great one. He also said the Drew will forever known as the qb who was replaced by Brady,JP and Romo.

Not on the first ballot, but he'll get in down the road.

That's true. That really doesn't look good when you were replaced by 3 qb's who were relative nobodies at the time.

Any chance he comes out of retirement if a team finds themselves in desperate need of a qb?

                        No.

The Hall of Fame should be about greatness, about the elite. A majority of Bledsoe's career is mediocre.

People point at his stats, but the Hall of Fame should be about quality, not quantity. Testaverde has more yards and TDs than Bledsoe; does Vinny deserve to get in?

He has the numbers, but I'm not sure the voters will see his career as warranting the HOF. He might be best remembered as the guy who had to get hurt in order for the Pats to become a dynasty, and then to also lose his job in Buffalo and Dallas.
Should have known, way back in 1960 when we drafted Richie Lucas Number 1, that this would be a long, hard ride. But who could have known it would be THIS bad?

Bledsoe was a good QB, for a couple of years he was a great QB. but he was never the top 1-2 QB's of his era; he only led his team to a conference championship once; got pummeled in the Super Bowl.. And spent the later part of his careers QB's good football teams (Buffalo and Dallas) that chronically underachieved while he was QB.. How much was his fault is debatable.

He's a very good QB.. One of the "better" ones of his day.. But he's certainly not a HOF'er.
