View Full Version : Anyone saw this about Alan Branch?

Being immature and in touch with your inner child is one thing, but this sounds like borderline ******ation.

The thing about Branch, though, is he is resilient. He has a youthful approach to most things and often is considered a kid in a big guy's body. During practices here as the Wolverines have prepared for USC, Branch has been seen doing cartwheels on the field.

"My favorite shows are cartoons," Branch said. "I am a little kid. If you want to hang out with me, you're going to have to sit down and watch some cartoons, because I watch them all day long. If you don't feel like doing it, don't come over to my house. I never grew out of that stage, I guess. I just love it. It's funny."

He occasionally taps into his inner kid with coloring books. Branch said he uses crayons and has done five books this year.

"It relaxes me," he said. "A lot of people don't think about the little things that make you happy. Just coloring, that was fun for us (as kids)."

If we draft him and he plays well, I'll hook him up with some Play-Doh for Christmas.

FIVE books THIS year! Woah, I think that moved him up 2 spots on draft boards already.

***disclaimer, if the Phins draft him, I'll have to twist his coloring into some type of zen thing. yeah that's the ticket

There is nothing wrong with coloring books and kids shows per se. I have two daughters who still like kids shows, and have have within the last couple years used coloring books. My older daughter is the one who finished first in her college graduating class, and is now on the verge of finishing up her masters in an accelerated program at the University of Buffalo. It seems the they find these little kids shows and activities to be a way to release the pressure of their academic pursuits. Where Alan Branch might be a little off is that he doesn't appear to have much of a life outside of his little kid pursuits.

I wonder if Alan Branch still wears a Goodnite to bed.

Sure, with kids. But do you color by yourself after the kids go to bed?

I won't say anything is good about what he is saying, but I would like to know why he is saying it.

The thought of a guy 6'6" and 320 lbs doing cartwheels is pretty fascinating.

Look at it this way. The kid seems really immature. But he's got tons of potential. If he slipped to the 2nd, I'd take a flyer on him and hope he matures quickly.

No, a fat lazy **** isn't worth a draft pick IMO.

If he finished 5 coloring books this year that automatically means he opened more books than the entire miami hurricanane draft class

He had a very solid 40 time at the combine, his physical skills are well documented. Some people say he doesn't fit our defense, I think they are wrong. This team needs a fat clogger bastard in the middle that can move, he is that guy.

Not much different than the guys on here in their mid twenties and thirties that have fascinations with video games, comic book heroes, etc.
