Since Washington has no 2nd, 3rd or 4th round picks...I say package a combination of something maybe of our 2nd and 2 3rds or maybe something next year...for their #6 pick this year. What would it take?
Maybe we could land Peterson at #6 and Willis at #12.

Any comments?

too many holes to fill IMO.

It'd be nuts if we could land both of em but not worth it.

and imagine trying to pay the no. 12 overall pick AND the no. 6 over all pick.

If you're a proponent of using the value chart, a second and two thirds isn't going to buy you #6...not even close.

a pick in 2008 cant come into play? because there is no value yet?

the patriots have two 1st round picks. they should look into getting the 6th pick.

It can, but I believe conventional wisdom is that a pick in next year's draft is equivilant point-wise to the next lowest round in this years draft...For example, next years #12 pick in the first round would equal this year's #12 in the second.

Under that scenario, you would have to give up this year's #2 and both #3's PLUS next year's #1 to move into the #6 slot. I don't think it's worth it. personally.

Another problem would be the NFL allotment in cap money to sign draft choices. It would be tough to make the numbers work.

I'm with James on this one. With the number of players we need from this draft, it makes little sense to start trading picks away. The Bills are going to build through the draft and it must be done with fiscal responsibility. Putting all our eggs in one basket for anything less than a sure-fire, future pro-bowler doesn't make much sense. Marv and company had the best draft we have seen in a long time last year and I have some confidence that they can repeat.
I'm hoping for a trade down for an extra second round pick.
