All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!

If Marv decided to shore up our lines for the future and drafted Okoye in the first and then traded backup and grabbed a guy like Ben Grubbs at OG or Kalil at C?
I wont be upset by an Okoye pick but trading back into the first to grap Grubbs or Kalil instead of sitting pat and waiting, would bother me. There are good OL in the middle of the draft, we dont need to move up to take them. But aside from drafting a C, I dont understand why we would take more OL because if we do then why the hell did we take Butler, and Pennington last year and why sign Whittle, Walker, and Dockery?

It would make me start to question some of their other decisions - it'd really be an admission that they already think they f'd up some of their draft & FA moves last offseason.
I do think Okoye would be a great fit in this system, but I don't see it happening - he probably won't even be there at 12.
How much more can the Bills afford to invest in OL?
They signed two high price OL, previous brought in versatile Whittle, previous brought in Fowler, paid for an extension of Peters and brought in a number of prospects, Enough has been spent for a while.
I would not be "dissapointed" but I'd be disappointed
It would bother me because of the investments that they have already made on both lines. I wouldn't mind if these were 3rd round picks or later...but not the 1st or 2nd round.
There's wayyy too many holes to fill right now to add extra linemen.
I wouldn't be upset at all if they drafted someone who could start at RG.
Whittle's a cheap journeyman who started only two of 16 games last year, and the rest are Day 2 prospects. None of them should stop us from taking a blue-chipper if we want to try to make the entire line solid.

The sad part about this thread is it's an admission by some fans that moves we made in the past year aren't good enough. We're sitting here worried over DT. We've now brought in 4 new DTs since the TD era and this thread is discussing drafting another DT at 12 overall.
im not worried about DT, I simply think Okoye is one of those DT prospects that maybe to good to pass up.
But don't we already have two of him in Tripplett and Walker? IMO, Okoye would be a waste. The kind of player that we really need is a Ted Washington type.
