View Full Version : Losman's break out year?

Based on 2006 those who thought Losman should be our starter were correct. Holcomb and Nall were not legitimate answers at QB. I also applaud the front office for keeping the training wheels on through the first 7 games and forcing JP to learn to play in the pocket, under pressure.

However, it's 2007 and I expect JP to play well in the first 7 weeks of this year. No excuses. He has an oline that is better than last year. Period.

No fumbles. No "16 foot high" screen passes. No excuses.

I have seen people posting that another season of 19 TDs and 14 Ints is acceptable. I say BS. This is a first round draft choice. Time to step it up.

What stats do you think are respectable for this year?

JP did nothing but make strides last year, and if he was a black QB he would have been in the probowl not Vince Young, that was a joke, he should have gotten a lot more credit than he got, if he was playing in NE, or Indy or Balt, or even the godforsaken Raiders, he would be all over NFL network ,adn Espn,

i mean some of these ******* experts dont even bring him up when doin our state of the franchise, but they did find the time to talk about Leinhart who didnt do **** with way more weapons on Offense

I expect JP's INT to TD ratio to stay slightly above or even not only this year, but throughout his career. And that's OK with me as long as the team is winning and Losman doesn't prove to be a detriment.

It's just going to be an extension of his personality/character.

A break-out year for J.P is 10 wins. I don't care what kind of numbers he puts up.

amen. a qb is only as good as the players around him.

if we get a GOOD rb in the draft who can carry the load then we are set.

if not we could be going through anotehr year of transition and another year of.500 play or less.

Best scenario we are in the fight for a wild card spot

worst scenario jp/evans goes down. VERY bad year.

I think JP has some skill, but I don't think he's anything special. Bill fans want to anoyant him some kinda great player simple because his play was slightly better than avg in the second half of 06, but he still lost his final two starts and was only one game better in the second half of last year over the first half. JP doesn't even have a RB to hand the ball too and only one real threat to throw to, how the hell is he gonna elevate his game based on that?? He sure as hell is no Kelly!

Well I don't like to see any player hurt, the Bills do have a brutal start to the 07 season. It will be real tough for JP to be having anything close to good games during that stretch, I didn't say impossible, just real tough.

no **** he's no kelly. but on the other side he's no culpepper/lemon.

we dont need him to be jim kelly. he can be a very competent QB and has shown that last year by how much he's progressed. now its time to step it up even more.

wish i could say the same bout the fins 2 headed QB attack.....

Groan all you want, blinky.

FYI....

Jim Kelly career = 237 TDs, 175 int's or an average of 21 and 16.

Like I said...I'll take it as long as the team is winning.

20 and 12. If he gets 20 TD's and 12 int's, Im happy.

I also think he should/could go for 3000 yards.

However, we simply must have a running game. Teams did in fact respect McGahee, we need another RB that teams respect.

If JP is forced to win the games on his arm alone due to no running game, we are in trouble. Some games will go that way, but not every single one.
