NE And Al Wilson May Be Talking Soon :(

The player rep for free agent LB Al Wilson says there's been no interest shown in his client from the Patriots "as of yet."
New England would probably prefer a younger, healthier eventual replacement for Tedy Bruschi, but if Wilson can pass a physical later this offseason and is willing to play for cheap initially, it could be a match.

Teddy had a stroke, it would give more pointless dribble for espn to focus on instead of the game of football.

the guy failed a physical and may not be able to play at all this year. If anything this is a depth signing for NE- he's not going to have a huge impact. Adalius Thomas is the guy we should be concerned about.

I'm not sure where this report comes from, but it sounds like speculation.

Even if Wilson were to be medically cleared to play (and the last word is he is considering taking this season off and then judging again next year), it would be difficult to imagine the Pats spending a lot of money on another veteran LB. I guessing Wilson isn't interested in playing for the minimum, and the Pats probably have enough invested already in veteran LB.

Even if those hurdles were cleared, there is the matter of Wilson fitting in the Pats scheme. He has always been a 4-3 ILB who is freed up to chase the football. He has never had to deal with gap responsibilities, like an ILB in the Pats system would have. He might fit in on the WS, but it seems unlikely given Rosey Colvin's presence there and the fact Wilison has never been a pass-rusher.

                There is nothing to this.
