The Cowboys will be shipping Julius Jones off on draft day. What they will be asking for, they didn't say.

Re: According to Local News
Now SI.com has it up.
Anything Dallas does regarding Julius Jones has nothing to do with salary-cap space. They have plenty of cap room to do whatever they want. They don't think he's an elite runner. They're likely going to ship him off on draft day.

Re: According to Local News
I'd definitely give up a 3rd for Jones- it would be one less need to worry about with our #1 and #2 picks.

Re: According to Local News
No way... Jones has never impressed me. And he had a pretty good line to run behind.I remember that one fateful day when Coach took me aside. I knew what was coming. "You don't have to tell me," I said. "I'm off the team, aren't I?"
"Well," said Coach, "you never were really ON the team. You made that uniform you're wearing out of rags and towels, and your helmet is a toy space helmet.
You show up at practice and then either steal the ball and make us chase you to get it back, or you try to tackle people at inappropriate times."
It was all true what he was saying. And yet, I thought something is brewing inside the head of this Coach.
He sees something in me, some kind of raw talent that he can mold. But that's when I felt the handcuffs go on.

And next year is supposed to be a great RB class, so if Jones sucks we can always cut him.
I always thought he was decent- he's no LT but he would be an upgrade for us over McGahee.

Re: According to Local News
I'd give our second 3rd for Jones and still take a later round flyer on a guy like Garrett Wolfe as a 3rd down back.
I've always looked at Jones as a very good back, but I guess I haven't watched him all that often. looking now at his stats, he had his first 1000 yard season in 2006 and previously hovered in the 800-900 range. Would he give us anything A-Train can't do?Wake up, brush your teeth, and get ready for a day of hating the Dolphins. Or the Pats? How to choose?
