Bills ought to sign Indianapolis CB Jason David

We have been poison pilled before and now we can do it to another team. Pollin would be irritated but proud of Marv. We get a CB who is familair with Tampa Bay Cover 2 defense, We do not need to draft a CB in a weak draft and it costs us only a 4th round draft pick for the RFA. He is a bit small but is a playmaker.

Saints signed him, so it's either them or back to the Colts

He already signed an offer sheet with New Orleans, so he isn't available. He is either going to end up with New Orleans (if Indy declines to match) or Indy, with a new 4-year contract.

If Indy declines to match (which they likely won't because they don't have a lot of cap room) they get New Orleans 4th round pick as compensation.

And the Saints have 3 4th rounders which I believe is his tender so they upgrade (albeit marginally) thier much needed #2 CB spot for the bargain price of a 4th rounder.

It was a good thought, though. We should have jumped on him right away... what I take from the fact that we didn't (considering he was a perfect cheap plug-in for our scheme) is that Jauron is ready to give Youboty a chance. We'll see...

I have no problem giving Youboty a chance. I just wanted three starting CBs so we can rotate them and make them go full speed.

Pass on David, we got Ashton who deserves his shot

and this isnt a weak CB class, just weak at the top
