It'd be nice, but this rules it out:

2007: $3,250,000
2008: $4,000,000
2009: $4,750,000

Those numbers aren't real. $7M signing bonus, $3.5 a year will lock him up.

Isn't he the guy who dropped a lot of passes 2 years ago including a few in the Super Bowl and playoffs? If so.... no way.

He's under contract ... if we trade for him, we trade for his contract.

No way, rather use a third round pick on a WR. He has a case of the dropsies, which is undesirable in WRs.

I'd rather take a chance on a WR with one of our 3rd round picks in the draft. As usual, there are a number of interesting WRs coming out.

I wouldnt trade for him either.

If we make any trade, I think it has to be for a running back. Either Turner or Jones, especially Turner (obviously)

The third rounder could be used on a wide-out that might turn out to be a better player and will definitely be less expensive.

Do you think he'll take a pay cut? I doubt it

his drops were early in his career, he is a solid #1/2 wr. he was a stud when they went to SB and if they didnt have bs holding call and weak PI he probally would have been sb mvp. id take him for a 3rd and if he took pay cut but i doubt that happening

no wr in the 3rd round will be as ready to play as Jackson is now. His contract, thats a whole nother situation we dont want any part of

Your underestimating how many balls he drops, though.

4 million a year for Jackson isn't crap. That's a steal in this day of age. We paid Chris Kelsay as much for this season as Jackson would cost for the entire 3 years. Jackson is a proven threat at WR and would be a great compliment to Evans. Kelsay has 12 career sacks. It's not easy to see which one would be the better deal.

I'm fine with it, but I bet pigs fly before the Bills pony up

You must be thinking of Jerramy Stevens.

We need the picks, but if I had plans to use one on a receiver....the chances of getting one in the 3rd round with Jackson's ability are pretty slim.

Yeah....Jackson is usually pretty sure handed.

maybe for BAL's 3rd rounder....when healthy, he's good. I think the confusion about the dropped balls is because it seemed whenver I turned on a seattle game, all the WRs stunk to high heaven as far as hands go. He's got good career numers and would be a legit #2 for sure. The price is not that bad, and we don't have to deal with the signing bonus if he comes thru a trade, just the base salary of his existing contract. He is a 1,000 yard a season guy. Two years he missed 3 games each he would have hit 1,000 and the 2005 season he was on pace for 1285. His health would have to be checked out obviously before we consider it seriously, but I'm interested.

Year G GS Rec Yds Avg Lg TD 20+ 40+ 1st
2000 16 9 53 713 13.5 71 6 8 2 31
2001 16 16 70 1081 15.4 64 8 20 7 44
2002 13 13 62 877 14.1 48 4 13 2 37
2003 16 16 68 1137 16.7 80 9 18 4 54
2004 16 16 87 1199 13.8 56 7 16 2 59
2005 6 6 38 482 12.7 48 3 4 2 29
2006 13 13 63 956 15.2 72 10 13 6 44
TOTAL 96 89 441 6445 14.6 80 47 92 25 298

if he wasn't hurt in 2005 his numbers woul be(16 games):
101 rec for 1285 yds 12.7avg 8TDs 11(20+) 5(40+)

3 rounder for djax? it would take me all of 2 seconds to make that trade.. and then i would cut peerless price.. and you save 2 milion a year, so 4 mill a year for djax would be nothing.

do it. the guy is a good number one.. and a stud for the number 2.

The Seahawks should be giving some team a 3rd round pick to take Jackson off their hands. When I lived near Seattle last year, fans couldn't stand him sicne he couldn't catch a cold.
