Bills Fans Play Big Role In Recruiting Spikes
Takeo Spike had this to say, about how the fans, helped sway his descision to sign with Buffalo. "I thought I was coming out in Cincinnati at Paul Brown Stadium that last game of the year," said Spikes. "They made me feel welcome. So that's a big plus. I remember one guy said, 'Play well, Takeo. Just don't hurt anybody so you can get ready for us next year.' It was impressive."
It didn't go unnoticed. Spikes loved the response he got. Spikes also said he saw posters from fans pleading with him to sign with the Bills this offseason.
"The fans in Buffalo are knowledgeable and they know who the good players are on our team and the other teams," said President and General Manager Tom Donahoe. "They certainly let us know how they felt about him even before this began."
So that being said, Buffalo Bills fans, give yourselves a pat on the back. Nice work.
