...Washington to grab the #6 pick, and draft Adrian Peterson. Then it has us taking Chris Houston in the second. This would not make me pissed.

The only thing I wouldn't like is that we presumably would have to give up next year's #1, which makes the draft less fun to watch.

And Len Pastabelli comments about the skins moveing down on ESPN insider:

Redskins on the move ... down? Because they have researched what it will take to move up or back from their current No. 6 slot in the first round, and because owner Dan Snyder is rarely inclined to just stand pat, the Washington Redskins (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/clubhouse?team=was) remain a wild card in the early portion of the draft. Popular opinion is that Washington would like to make a foray up the draft board, like into the No. 2 slot, to pluck Calvin Johnson (http://insider.espn.go.com/nfldraft/draft/tracker/player?draftyear=2007&id=11326) of Georgia Tech. But don't be surprised if the Redskins' quest for a wide receiver to complement Santana Moss (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?statsId=5463) actually results in a move back in the first round. Sources told ESPN.com that the Redskins were in Baton Rouge earlier this week checking out LSU wide receiver Dwayne Bowe (http://insider.espn.go.com/nfldraft/draft/tracker/player?draftyear=2007&id=10524). The Redskins are interested enough in Bowe to have brought along starting quarterback Jason Campbell (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?statsId=7201) to throw to him.

i wish PFT would tell us what it took to move from 12 to 6 especially while keeping 43?. Even though they have improved you still have to remember the source. That being said Peterson in a buffalo uni would make my draft day.

Probably took our first in 2008.

Probably took our first in 2008. That would be a smart move for Snyder "which is why it won't happen" i can't see the bills doing that would be horrible for us. Heck, we may be in the running to draft mcfadden next year. I'd rather see them trade 43 to move up and use our two 3rds to draft for linebackers later.

Well at least the monkeys know somehow how to aim.

The rumour is the Bills would trade a 2nd round pick and 4th Round pick to move into the 6th spot..

Well, the 6th spot in the draft is worth 1,600 points.

The Bills picks (for this year) are worth:

12 - 1,200
43 - 470
74 - 220
92 - 132
111 - 72
184 - 17.8
222 - 2.6
239 - off the chart

So that trade would have to include something from next year if they are keeping their 2nd round pick.

But if we gave up our 1st in exchange for Turner and SD's 2nd round pick, that would give us Turner, 2 2nds and 2 3rds this year. Plus we'd still have 4 day 1 picks next year.

That would upset some here.

I dont have the chart in front of me but ball park I know the 19th pick in round 1 is 875, and id guess the late 2nd for the chargers is around 300 or so give or take?

Which would mean you are saying Turner is valued at low 1st overall (somewhere between 19 and 25 roughly)? Putting his trade worth ahead of mcgahee and thomas jones.

I can't imagine the Chargers were ever offering a swap of 1st round picks and their second round pick with Turner. No way.

That would be:

Turner
The 28th pick in the draft = 660 pts
and the 62nd pick in the draft = 284 pts

That would mean the Chargers only value Turner as an early 3rd rounder. I can't imagine they believe that low of him.

A 1st rounder for Turner would be plain stupid. If Marv did that, then we might as well check him into the "old folks home" because he has officially lost it! That being said, nobody is going to give up a 1st for Turner. Why you ask? Because he isn't worth it!

if peterson can stay healthy, i don't care what we give up for him! he is one of the greatest prospects coming out of college in the last decade!

A Washington Post beat writer on a radio program on Friday claimed that if Peterson is still on the board when the Redeskins pick.. a deal has already been set in place for the bills to trade into the 6th spot (for a 2nd and a 4th_)

I'm not so sure I like that trade. In doing so, we'd only have two 3rd round picks to effectively improve our team during the remainder of the draft. (Please don't rely on 6 and 7th round picks to make significant contributions this year even though it's not impossible) With glaring needs at LB, and/or OLB, WR, and CB, I don't think it's something we can afford.
