Maybe all this nonsense about Willis to the 49ers will cease.

The Santa Rosa Press Democrat's Matt Maiocco believes the 49ers will draft Penn State LT Levi Brown if he's available at No. 11.

Maiocco also thinks the Niners will take Tennessee's Robert Meachem if they decide to draft a wide receiver. He does not believe the team has Amobi Okoye (Louisville), Alan Branch (Michigan), Ted Ginn (Ohio State), or Dwayne Jarrett (USC) on its radar in the first round.

at this point in time, so close to the draft, I'm not going to believe anything until it happens next weekend. there is so much misinformation out there right now with all the teams trying to bluff each other and hide their true intentions.

Two things I found interesting...

Willis doesn't even garner a mention in the article, and this comment...

McCloughan said last week that the 49ers had receiver Marques Colston rated as a fourth-round talent. But they did not take him with their fifth-round pick or there three six-round picks because they were scared off by his injury history, and they had already chosen receiver/return man Brandon Williams in the third round.

If they stuck to their board and gone BPA, they could have had a steal at WR.

Just so you know the new rumor is that the Redskins are taking Willis at #6. Made perfect sense on why.

The funny thing is that Willis could be there at #12 and there is a good chance the Bills will pass on him. When was the last time the Bills made a choice that made sense to us.
