View Full Version : RUMOR involving Dallas/Buffalo Trade at #12

This is stictly a RUMOR that The Answer got from an inside source from a draft publication with high level contacts in the Cowboys organization and no The Answer don't have a link:

"Expectations are higher than ever in Dallas to win now and Jerry Jones will be doing cartwheels at Valley Ranch if the proposed Denver/Houston trade happens at #10 and Adrian Peterson is somehow available at #12, in fact word is that Jerry Jones will offer Buffalo thier 1st and 2nd in this years draft, a 3rd rounder in 2008 and either Julius Jones or Marion Barber to secure the University of Oklahoma blue chip prospect. Now this is also assuming Cleveland takes Brady Quinn as expected and several other scenarios pan out."

As much as The Answer is hot for AP as well - IF this turns out to be more than a rumor, than The Answer feels we have to pull the trigger, especially because we would be landing a quality RB in MB3 OR Julius Jones, and get Dallas #22 overall pick + 2 more valuable day one picks.

One other thing that concerns The Answer is San Francisco, because if Denver does move up to take Patrick Willis (who many think they are after as well) than Dallas could make this deal with them first.

Doesnt matter even if by some miracle this rumor was even remotley close to being true (which it isnt) AP will be lon gone by pick 12.

The Answer is aware of that - but if they can't draft Willis, they would probably want to trade out as well if Dallas comes calling to them first.

That's an awful lot to give up for the 12th overall pick.

If this rumor is true...and we could end up with Jones and two additional pics, that would be very hard to pass up

Yeah that doesn't make sense. SF isn't going to take Peterson so Dallas has no reason to deal with SF instead of us and pay #11 money instead of #12.

If this deal is indeed proposed I'd take it in a heartbeat.

However this is strictly bored people on message boards making up different scenerios just to kill time. I wouldn't hold my breath.

That's an awful lot to give up for the 12th overall pick.

The Answer has known for weeks now that Jerry Jones has AP #1 on their draft board and is determined to give Tony Romo another big time weapon.

It would be ironic though given the tarade with Dallas in 2004 that landed Losman (Dallas drafted Julius Jones with our 2nd as well).

haha! If they want to win now, they can grab LJ for supposedly what they are going to offer the bills. He's more ready than AP.

I guess it really is a rumor. A weird one at that. Nice try Answer.

The Answer would take Marion Barber the 3rd, not Jones - and yes if this somehow comes to fruition we'd be in great shape.

Made it clear this is nothing but a rumor, but given The Answer's source on it - definitely will be keeping a close eye on things this weekend.

LJ is older and will be asking for obscene money that Dallas don't have - they have big time $$$ tied up in Roy Williams, Witten, TO and have to find money for Newman and Romo, etc.

AP would come much cheaper at #12.

Haha! That's true he'd be cheaper but doesn't gurantee a "WIN NOW" . LJ would be more of a sure thing than AP and I thought he would do cartwheels so money shouldn't be a problem. Does not compute. You can keep a close eye on it all you want ;)
