According to Bob Kemp of KDUS 1060 in Phoenix, the Bills have discussed the possibility of offering the #12 pick for Edge if the Cardinals end up drafting Adrian Peterson.

To elaborate a bit more, according to Kemp, Peterson was talking to the Buffalo media, and told them that Arizona said that they would draft him. Once they did, apparently they would send James to Buffalo for the #12th overall selection (Buffalo would possibly receive other compensation)

How many trade rumors could we possibly be involved in?

this had better be a smoke screen. Edge had his day but he's well past his prime.

On the other hand, next year's draft is supposed to be loaded with RBs so I wouldn't mind it as a rent-a-player solution (see Jamal Lewis and Cleveland). But the 12 is too high a price to pay.

Week before the draft is great, Peyton manning is in town they are talking about a trade for 12th pick. Come on people, they just signed the edge to a huge deal and all the bonus money would be accelarated. Arizona is drafting Defense or o-line.

People are having heart attacks because LJ is 27 lol. People would be taking baths with toasters on this board because the edge is 29.

I'd trade for him with Tim Anderson, Shaud Williams, and the Ravens 7th round pick.

So Peterson was talking to the Buffalo media and said that Arizona was going to pick him if he was there and if they did, they would trade Edge to Buffalo for the 12th pick and possibly additional compensation?

Wow. Peterson must be pretty tight with the Cards front office. Did Peterson know who the cards are going to target in the 2nd round? Maybe Peterson might have some insight into some the late round sleepers they are eyeing also?

Quite honestly, this type of deal makes more sense for the Bills because E. James has 3 yrs remaining on his deal and the Bills would already know his "Cash to Cap" value.........however, #12 overall is a bit high IMO...........#43 and cond '08 would be more like it

Speaking of Edge, he's a prime example of a RB who suffered behind a weaker line. Something to think about for those clamoring for LJ.

No way the Bills trade their 12th overall for James, hell Alexander couldn't even fetch a first last year, no way Edge does. It's a funny rumor though!

this is BS. LJ is a couple years younger and has much less mileage. No way I would give up our 1st for the Edge.

This is is crap. If anything this is just smoke and mirrors. The Bills are in a tough spot and maybe they're trying to generate interests from other teams to trade up to the Bills spot. Maybe someone like Denver who would love a DE like Carriker. Then we could slide back, get some picks, and grab someone like Pos who I have a feelin the front office likes.

is it possible that we give up the 12th overall for Edge and Arizona's 2nd rounder (38th overall)?

Still too much... they can have our 2nd for him straight up if AP, LJ and Turner don't work out.

On a side note, with all these RB rumors, you have to admit that Marv and Co. effectively have the entire league caught in a smokescreen.

Skip all the trades and draft Lynch or move to 6 for AP.

I would not have a problem with #43 and a cond '08. As much as some would not like to admit, Edge is a beautiful fit for this offense.

give up a first and get another 2nd and 3rd, or a 3rd and 4th. we fill a hole, and we get another pick out of it. who knows.

Couldnt we have had the edge for free last year in FA? So why would we trade for him. Plus he got that HUGE contract. No way we get him.
