Good for Bruce! Its a good thing by the NFL too, to honor the victims in this way and Goodell shows a break from tradition in his first draft as NFL Commisioner.

Orchard Park, NY--Bruce Smith will announce the Bills first-round selection in Saturday's NFL Draft. The league informed the Bills organization that the all-time leader in sacks has agreed to make the announcement at the podium after the team makes its first pick.

Smith was invited to this year's Draft, along with Virginia Tech Head Coach Frank Beamer and Atlanta Falcons quarterback Michael Vick and cornerback DeAngelo Hall. All three players were collegiate standouts at Virginia Tech and Smith was the number one overall pick in the 1985 Draft by the Bills. The league invited the four as part of its "Salute to Virginia Tech."
