Alan Branch? He was a projected top 10 pick 2 months ago, what would you think?

He'd make Leon Hall look like a good pick.. thats how bad that idea is!

OMG dude. This guy has FLOP written all over him.

As long as we dont draft Lynch ill be happy.

We should take Mason Crosby at pick #12 :couch:

I think Pat would off half his neighborhood if that happened.

As much as I hate our DL, I don't think we should take any DT's with the #12. We've invested a lot in the position over the last year or so (two trades, two draft picks, one FA)- I think we need to give them time to see if it works out and addres some of the more glaring holes.

In January, I never would have thought that we'd have a bigger hole than DL, but that's how the off-season has gone for us.

Alan Branch and Leon Hall are two highly touted guys whom I wouldn't touch in the first round at all, no matter where I pick. They suck.

I think he is a boom or bust guy. He is huge, which we don't have right now. I wouldn't mind.

All DT's that get drafted seem to have the same stigma attached to them. They don't go hard on every play. I thought I remember Vince Wolfork, Ngata, Marcus Stroud, etc. all having similar raps against them.

We just don't have any size on our D-line. I think there are worse picks at 12.

I don't know if I'd like the pick, but it wouldn't totally shock me. It was reported that Ralph Wilson was expressing concern over being able to stop the run, and he's definitely a guy that would have the biggest impact in that department.
