Bills | Anderson on the market?
Fri, 27 Apr 2007 08:37:24 -0700
John Murphy, of Yahoo! Sports, reports the Buffalo Bills have put DT Tim Anderson on the market, according to several league sources. Anderson, a restricted free agent, would have required a third-round draft pick in compensation had a team offered him a deal. The Bills, however, would likely take a mid-round draft choice if the right deal were to be offered during the NFL Draft.

From KFFL.

Op would actually be happy of the Bills traded him. Hell a 7th round pick would make me happy.

This has to be a joke - mid round pick for worthless camp fodder? What next, a 1st rounder for Kevin Everett?

"The Bills have traded Tim Anderson to the Green Bay Packers for a small pack of American cheese. Marv Levy didn't feel like going shopping for the final piece of his high-motor grilled cheese sandwich, so this works out for both sides."

Oh, that was done before? :ill:

At the time Peerless was worth it - he didn't have a real QB in Atlanta or he would have put up huge numbers.

Don't sell PP short - he still has some game left in him. If only Losman would look his way more often....

You guys are nuts. Why would the Bills trade away their best DT for cheese, or 7th round pick, or 10% discount on hotdog combo, or kicking tees?

Why create another hole that needs to be filled?

If Marv can get a "mid round pick" for Tim Anderson I will NEVER NEVER EVER question a move the front office makes again. We could cut Losman and resign Bledsoe and I'd still say, "yeah, but he did get a 5th for Tim Anderson."

DT or DE in round one for the Bills if Willis and AP are gone. I want the big boy Branch so we can stuff the run. I call bull**** that he doesn't fit our scheme, he is pretty quick for a fatboy.

I wonder if all the talk of Patrick Willis being off the board has them reconsidering Okoye as a backup plan in case they can't move up for AP or down for someone else.

For the record, I'll be very happy if we draft Okoye or Carriker. It's not a need pick like RB or LB (or possibly even CB), but I think either could be a special DT, and having a guy that can wreak havoc on the inside of the line is really important to a cover 2.

Allen Wilson, of the Buffalo News, reports The Titans are discussing a trade that would send Corkey, previously from the TV hit "Life Goes On" to the Bills for Tim Anderson and our 1st round pick. Jeff Fisher was quoted as saying, "Corkey has done a wonderful job for us refilling the Gatorade coolers, Tim would have a steep learning curve but we think he can catch on; and hey the 12th overall pick is good value to us for taking Tim onboard."

Jeff Garcia is trying to convince Gruden to trade for him in Tampa. Not to play or anything. Since Anderson claims to be a "hole stuffing tackle", and Garcia has seen him play, he believes that it's not football that Anderson must be refering to. This of course has Garcia grinning ear to ear.
