Reportedly, for a 4th round pick (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/draft07/news/story?id=2851912), pending DJax passing a physical.

Jackson struggled with injuries and has had trouble at times dropping passes, but for a 4th round pick he would be a great pickup for SF. He is a talented guy who has been productive in his career.

With the deceivers the Hawks have it makes sense.

Uhh, correct me if I'm wrong, but wouldn't it be a great deal for the Seahawks to get a 4th for a WR who can't stay healthy or catch the ball when he is, especially to a division rival??

Stupid trade for the hawks. Are they trying to gave the niners the division.

The 49ers are going to surprise some people next year. Good move for them if they can pull it off. Too bad they'll never get Anderson from the Bills. I think he could be their missing link. NOT!

"Should the trade go through, as expected, Jackson's addition represents yet another coup for the Niners, who via free agency added, among others, cornerback Nate Clements (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?statsId=5468), safety Michael Lewis (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?statsId=5944), and Ashley Lelie (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?statsId=5905). Though the Niners lost offensive coordinator Norv Turner to San Diego, they appear to have, in quarterback Alex Smith (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?statsId=7177), running back Frank Gore (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?statsId=7241), tight end Vernon Davis (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?statsId=7755), wide receiver Arnaz Battle (http://sports.espn.go.com/nfl/players/profile?statsId=6533), Lelie, and now possibly Jackson, the makings of an explosive offense.
And there's still the draft. With the 11th overall pick, the Niners could pick up a blue-chip prospect such as Penn State offensive tackle Levi Brown (http://insider.espn.go.com/nfldraft/draft/tracker/player?draftyear=2007&id=10547) or LSU wide receiver Dwayne Bowe (http://insider.espn.go.com/nfldraft/draft/tracker/player?draftyear=2007&id=10524) to further bolster the offense, or tap Mississippi linebacker Patrick Willis (http://insider.espn.go.com/nfldraft/draft/tracker/player?draftyear=2007&id=11281) to help head coach Mike Nolan's defense."

...On paper, that's the makings of a pretty good team.

The Niners looked like a future contender last year, and now the pieces are falling into place.

Another consequence of this is they likely won't take Meachem now, as some speculated. That's bad news for us.
