the AP reports that Huntley is offering Morris $7,500 for his #33. This sounds ridiculous to me. Its not even the # he wore in Carolina there he wore #34 but that isn't available here in Buffalo for obvious reasons. Morris probably doesn't need the money but if I were him I'd take it anyway. If Huntley wants it that bad, there is no reason to start a conflict over a number.

If Bryson is not traded then IMO either Huntley or Morris will be cut. Since Huntley is a TD choice from the Pittsburgh days he has the upper hand. If I was Morris I would take the money. If he makes the team it's very possible Huntley would be the odd man out so he could have his cake and eat it too.

keep the number... Huntley should just suck it up... if the number had some sort of "history" for him, I'd consider it - otherwise - grow up.

what is it with some players and the numbers...Kelly wanting 12 I can understand but Huntley is not exactly the second coming of an All-Pro...he wants it that badly then Morris should ask him for $10,000 at least.
For all the education and practice each of us undergoes, the achievment of mastery is ultimately the outcome of a personal quest for understanding.
