All: The new Billszone site with the updated software is scheduled to be turned on Tuesday, May 21, 2024. The company that built it, Dynascale, estimates a FOUR HOUR shut down, from 8pm Pacific, (5pm Eastern) while they get it up and running. Nobody will be able to post in any forum until they are done. Afterwards, you may need to do a web search for the site, as old links will not work, because the site is getting a new IP address. Please be patient. If there are bugs, we will tackle them one at a time. Remember the goal is to be up and running with no glitches by camp. Doing this now assures us of that, because it gives us all summer to get our ducks in a row. Thank you!
There is work to be done and things to be learned. We are going to try to get the old look back - or something close to it. We also know there are bugs. A thread will be started to report bugs and then we can pass those onto the host.
Thank you for all the patience and support with this - hopefully this will greatly reduce the crashes and other site issues we have had lately.
Please use this thread to report any issues you come across

Patriots | Akins Signed - posted at KFFL (http://nfl.kffl.com)
14:57 PT: Patriots.com reports the New England Patriots have signed free agent S Chris Akins (Browns). Terms of the deal were not disclosed. Akins could also provide special teams support should recent speculation on the trade or de-franchising of S Tebucky Jones happen.
maybe they are gonna play a 4 safety defense?

Damn T,
You beat me to it... It looks like the Pats are going to part ways with T.Jones... Now if only the 'aints don't trade a 1st rounder for him, we might have a chance.
My wife told me that if I had a dollar for every girl who found me unattractive, girls would find me VERY attractive.
I think its time for Clump to step in and explain to us how this mirage of signings from the patsies has taken place, with a less than attractive cap situation.
They have effectively lost all leverage WRT trying to trade Jones. Furthermore, I think that Jones is probably outpricing himself as he wants to "set the standard" for FS's, and seeing as how SB MVP Dexter Jackson just signed a deal paying him almost $3M a year, you can bet your bottom dollar he wants at least that. That is probably why you see the rash of S signings with the Pats, that and because other teams were ready to sign Harrison, who is a SS only, and in decline.
Akins was signed for ST. He was a ST captain on Cleveland last year and had 25 ST tackles.
The Pats are looking for a 2nd for Jones, New Orleans is offering a 3rd. It likely will happen sometime before the draft, but the 1st proved to be a fantasy.
Harrison played injured last year, but he isn't washed up. At 30 years old, there is some tread left on those tires. Him and Milloy at S are a fearsome combination, especially given the Pats defensive coaches know how to take advantage of good players.

I heard he would. New Orleans is offering their #1 i heard.
From what i heard they would trade 2 of their 3 firsts and maybe a middle rounder to a top 5 team and select Andre Johnson from Miami as WR and then select a DE with the 3rd first rounder.
