No controversy... this is a replacement for Nall, not for Losman!

You know there will be some fans who don't see it that way.

I don't get why we picked a QB in the third. It makes no sense. Not only does it waste a pick we could have used on someone who could step right in it could also mess with JP's Confidence.

If JP was better, there would be no controversy.

the only way there is a controversy is if losman doesnt perform and if thats the case then there shouldd be one guys be happy the bills are riding there hopes and dreams on one players sholders now. Think about it jp gets hurt our offense gets worse than it already was instantly now we have a solid smart backup.

It wont even get going, it will be squashed fast by the Bills FO.

This is a Schaub pick right here.

We need a security QB in case of injury, and in a few years we could trade him for alot if he gets some quality time due to injury.

I see Trent Edwards being the Frank Reich to Jim Kelly. I think Nall is the back up next year, but then Edwards moves up the chart. The guys on ESPN actually liked the pick and said Edwards could be used for leverage in a few years like Schaub (a former 3rd rounder was). I think that is highly optimistic, but I see him as a solid backup.

This is not a reflection on JP, I think. JP is deservedly still the long-term QB of this team. The pick is Marv's way to get the team a solid back-up QB who can provide competition and insurance if JP goes down with an injury.
