I like the Edwards pick!

Trent Edwards was surrounded by absolutely terrible talent and coaching at Stanford. He still managed to play pretty well. I think he has the potential to be a starter in this league. He's a great second option. Think about it, what if Losman has a bad year this year? We'll already have a guy on the roster who could be the next QB and won't have to worry about which QB to draft next year. Losman certainly isn't a sure thing at this point. Hopefully Losman pans out, but if he doesn't we'll be very glad we made this pick.

Me too. Didn't think we would draft him because I thought he'd be a lock early 2nd round pick but he's there at the end of the 3rd round and we have people complaining about it? I just don't get it. It's not like Dwayne Jarrett was sitting out there.

Losman just has to continue getting better. If he faulters under a little QB pressure then it will be his undoing.

Alexander or Siler, followed by Coe would actually make for a solid day 2. Throw in two developmental prospects at WR in the 7th, and I'd be very happy w/ this draft.

I know others commented that Smith wouldn't be picked that high, but it's surprising that Smith didn't go 1st day. I wonder when exactly he'll be picked.
