I think JP knows that as of tonight it's show or go now....

We drafted real competition for JP, it will force him to get better or get replaced. I went and reread alot of things about Edwards and he might be a good one. JP is probably reading this now, having a beer and thinking oh man I have to get my Sheet together.

I honestly have to sit back sometimes and wonder what's worse being a homer or being a ******. Then I look around and I see homer ******s and it answers my question quite clearly.

Its more a lack of confidence in Nall and the realisation there is very little left on FA market.

The team could have waited and hope someone got cut, took a flyer on a R7 selection who could easily have been cut, or make a solid pick and get someone to

          a) Push Nall for the backup position
          b) Have possible future trade value. We might like a Day1 in a future draft. There maybe future QB-lite drafts where we can extract value.
          c) Provides insurance if we can't do a long term deal with JP

          An intelligent selection

JP ended up playing better after having some competition last year, as opposed to having the job handed to him the year before.
