LaRon Harris, DT, Tennessee/N.W. Oklahoma
per http://draftdaddy.com/features/2007_AFC_UDFA.cfm

Thad Washington, LB, Colorado

"CU linebacker Thaddaeus Washington didn't get the rush of hearing his name called on draft day but did get a three-year free agent contract with the Buffalo Bills shortly after the seventh round ended.

"Now I can move forward," Washington said. "I know where I'm going to be. Now I can just work hard every day and show I can play at the NFL level and make the team in September.""

I would assume they would try to pick up Jackie Battle, RB, because it looked like they were interested in him.

Cowboys signed Houston RB Jackie Battle to a three-year contract.
Battle, who dabbled at fullback for the Cougars, is a straight-line runner in the Marion Barber mold. He's big and showed great speed at his Pro Day and could be an option in short yardage if anything happens to Barber.

Any way to look up a player to see if he was drafted or signed? The guy I'm wondering about is Walter Thomas. NY Times ran an article about him a few weeks back and I'm just curious to see if he eneded up anywhere.

Actually this is smart. He gets a bunch of snaps because Moorman isn't going to be out there in the pre-season. Other teams have his tape and he might make a roster somewhere else. It's actually a good move for him.

This is from Espn you can see more with insider if anyone has it.
Overall: Lewis arrived at Florida in 2002 as a wide receiver and was redshirted. In 2003, he appeared in 12 of 13 games of the bench and on special teams catching two passes for 18 yards. Lewis then saw action in all 12 games, again as a backup receiver and on special teams, caught three passes for nine yards and made two special teams tackles. He switched to corner during 2005 spring practice and then played in 12 games with two starts (South Carolina, Florida State) and registered 11 total tackles, three fumble recoveries, six passes defended, and one interception. In 2006, Lewis started all 14 contests recording 27 total tackles, 1.5 tackles for loss, four interceptions, and six passes defended.
Lewis is on the shorter side, he isn't fundamentally sound or much of a run defender at this point. However, he is a former wide receiver with very good ... http://espn.starwave.com/i/in.gif For complete overview, strengths and weaknesses, login above or become an Insider (https://r.espn.go.com/espn/purchase?productOfferId=InsiderMag).

He has ball skills and is relatively inexpierened at the position. Sounds like a project but between needs at corner or receiver we'll find a spot for him.

From WBEN:

According to the Houston Chronicle, the Bills signed Texas Southern safety Stacey Thomas. Thomas finished the season with 114 tackles, five interceptions, six breakups, four fumble recoveries and a sack on his way to the 2006 Walter Camp 1-AA All-America Team, according to nfldraftscout.com.
http://www.wben.com/news/wgrstory.php?newsid=2358

They also confirm the Coleman, Lewis, Cornellius and Jackson signings.

Any huge player will have weight concerns. But apparently Harris is down to 340# now, whereas he was 347# in that video. You can't babysit people 24/7 but it sounds like (agent) Joe Linta, a guy I've always had respect for, is doing his best to keep him in line. Hopefully he becomes another Pat Williams.

It's difficult to find out a lot of stuff on these guys. I learned Stacey Thomas is more of a safety and was defensive player of the year in his conference in division 1AA. Mace played defensive end for Wyoming. Presumably that means he has pretty good speed an quickness, but at 287 he's a bit light for a DT. Thaddeous Washington is a middle linebacker, and thus competition for DiGiorgio. He's 5'11" 245, with OK speed (4.7 40). He's not the quickest learner on the field, but is a huge hitter. The Sporting News rated him the biggest hitter in the Big 12. A practice squad candidate while he learns the pro game?

We signed a fat, overweight TE named Jason Peters a couple years back. We had nothing to lose then.

LeRon Harris is a no cost gamble that could get a few snaps down the road as a 2 gap run stuffer. Has to get in shape first but the gamble is well worth it. We need help stopping the run.

Id love to hear how a UDFA signed to some relatively tiny, no risk contract is a gamble.

This is like the nickel slots, if you lose you pay a nickel, if you win you win big.

Corey Davis is a guard according to scout.com:

Ht: 6-3 Wt: 326
Four-year starter who’s been used at both the tackle and guard positions. All-Conference selection after his junior and senior campaigns, and was named All-American last year.
Pos:
Wide-bodied, powerful blocker who works best on the inside. Stays square, blocks with good lean and displays outstanding overall body strength. Controls opponents at the point or turns them off the line, and opens holes for the running game. Solid position blocker who seals defenders from the action. Works hard until the whistle blows. Makes effective use of angles, blocks with solid fundamentals and remains alert.
Neg:
Lacks flexibility, balance and adjustment, which adversely affects his ability to finish blocks. Marginal footwork in space and does not display top lateral range.

----------------

Johnny Quinn
Ht: 6-0 Wt: 205

Four-year starter awarded All-Conference honors as a senior after leading the team in receiving, posting 57/633/4. Junior totals were 47/591/5. Experienced punt and kick returner.
Pos:
Solid possession receiver with reliable hands. Uses his frame to shield away opponents and consistently makes the reception away from his frame. Immediately transitions from catching the ball to running after the reception.
Neg:
Lacks the deep speed and second gear. Poor route-runner who does not show much sharpness into breaks.

More on Johnny Quinn...I didn't know Chris Denney (WR w/speed allocated to Europe) was on injured reserve... :(

.
.
.
Quinn (6-0, 202) returned kickoffs and punts, held for field goals and extra points and even played on the Mean Green's coverage teams at different points in his career.
"The Bills want me to play on special teams," Quinn said. "That is something I am looking forward to. Special teams are a huge part of the game. The coaches didn’t get in the specifics of where they want me to play on special teams, but I will play wherever they can find that I can help."
.
.
.
Quinn finished his career as UNT's all-time leader in receptions (187) and receiving yards (2,728), despite playing in a run-first offense that produced two national rushing champions during his four seasons.
Quinn's draft stock was hurt by a dislocated tendon in his ankle that required surgery after his senior season at UNT. The injury prevented Quinn from running out until late in the draft process, when he worked out at several pro days.
Quinn posted his best 40-yard dash time at UT-Arlington at 4.44 seconds.

Wasn't he thought of as a real prospect coming into the year?

Conrad Bolston rhymes with Marques Colston. We should give him a shot.

WR Jemalle Cornelius from Florida could be a TC surprise, doesnt have great size, but his speed is good, and he is quick. He could be a great pickup, Im excited to see him play. He is extremely elusive and is a threat to score whenever he touches the ball.
