Last night on the news they told us of a few "new" diet tips. Honestly, I don't know how new these tips are, but I'm going to share them anyway...

1. Exercise at night rather than in the morning. You burn the calories from the day. In the morning you really don't have as many calories to burn.

2. Eating spicy food (salsa, hot peppers, etc) helps to speed up your metabolism.

3. Drink plenty of water (who didn't know this?).

4. Don't eat dinner after 8pm.

There you go, happy dieting. :)

1. There may be some truth to that but exercising in the morning burns off the glycogen that is stored in the liver making your body use the calories you take in during the day.

2. Never heard this.

3. Ture, but remember 8 glasses a day includes the water in milk, soda and other beverages...do not drink 8 glasses on top of all other liquid consumption.

4. Don't eat anything after 8PM.

Or eat every 4 days works also.

IMO all you need to know about dieting is that if you're not burning more than your consuming (no matter what kind of food you're eating) you won't loose weight.

You don't want to be too skinny, Eb. Women don't like stick skinny guys. I'd rather be with a guy who's a bit overweight than someone who's skinny. But that's just me and apparently I'm not normal. lol

I like not normal...lol

I'm still 202...I have plenty I could lose...I once got down to 173...I looked skeletal...I cannot go below 180-185.

What's "a bit"

I swear when I saw you at the draft party you looked fine, Eb. Granted I was bombed but I don't recall looking at you and thinking you were heavy.

I don't think she means anything over 300.

I'm 6-3, I don't think I should go below 200 because it would look weird. I'd probably look like a stick. I'd like to be about 215 but I've got to lose a few to get there.

Well thanks...but it sounds like you were viewing me through beer goggles...then again we only chatted for 15 seconds...I was too busy eating and watching the draft...

I don't know. Honestly, I never really looked at a guy's weight before. My ex was definitely on the chunky side and it didn't bother me at all. I went out with a soccer player last year who was way too skinny, IMHO. He made me very uncomfortable. I was afraid to eat anythinf for fear I'd end up being fatter than him. I couldn't date him because he was too skinny but I don't think I would turn down a guy who was overweight.

No, it wasn't beer goggles. lol But you're right, I wasn't around much anyway. But still, I didn't see anything wrong with you at all. And I do have some pictures, which helped to refresh my memory. lol And I still don't see a problem. :)

I went out with a woman, just once, who was about 5'3" and weighed no more than 110...she looked like a boy...not my cup of tea.

A Dieter's Psalm

Strict is my diet. I must not want.
It maketh me to lie down at night hungry.
It leadeth me past the confectioners.
It trieth my willpower.
It leadeth me in the paths of alteration for my figure's sake. Yea, though I walk through the aisles of the pastry department,
I will buy no sweet rolls for they are fattening.
The cakes and the pies, they tempt me.
Before me is a table set with green beans and lettuce.
I filleth my stomach with liquids,
My day's quota runneth over.
Surely calorie and weight charts will follow me all the days of my life, And I will dwell in the fear of scales forever.

Try the one grape a day diet. I hear it works.

Ut-oh. Philster's in trouble then. A good strong wind might blow him away.
