we still need depth at the position- I'd take him for the right price, although his age and the fact that they replaced him with a guy we just dumped are a concern.

still coming off a down season his price tag should be a ton lower than spikes which makes him potentially attractive right off the bat

there will be options for the bills as the summer progresses. theyve got their starters set everywhere except cb and have competition at just about every spot. one or two additions is really all they will need by the start of the season

I wouldn't be surprised if some other vets get shaken loose in the enxt week or two as teams figure out what they're doing with their new guys etc.

I bet we are still able to find a little depth at corner and LB. I wouldn't hold my breath about upgrading WR though.

At the very least they need someone to come in and compete with Ellison for the starting job (I hear at strongside). Although Ellison filled in well last year for Spikes/Crowell, i hardly think he should be just be handed anything at this point of his career.

That's not the question. The question is whether or not he's better than Stamer, Haggan, DiGiorgio and Wire. The answer is yes.

Don't break the bank for him cuz he's unlikely to start, but he has experience that we could really use and more skill than most of the guys on our roster.
