the scary thing anymore is that in the AFC, especially the AFCEast if you can't get a bare minimum of 11 wins, it's tough to get into the playoffs.

I expect a step back in the W-L column this year...5 or 6.

If we go backwards I will be starting the fire Levy/Jauron thread!!

That's not even an option. They better have some vets to fill the holes left over. Another vet LB and maybe CB for sure.

Just because we lose more games doesn't mean we aren't improving or making progress as a team. We're still a year and a couple of players away from seriously competing for the playoffs, IMO.

If we controlled the ball a little better and had a better line all of last year we would have won a few more games. WM getting amnesia on 4th down and a few other plays if successful would of made it a better year. We we're not ready to compete with Baltimore at the end of the year and tennessee was riding a little higher. Jp is going to get more time and we actually have a running threat now because of the 2 tons we paid ~$100 million for. Plan on a better year and the kool-aid's on me.

I'll go with 10 wins!!

So,

Here my current take:

Den- win, Cutler is still young
@ Pitt- loss
@ Pats- loss
Jets- win
Cowboys- win
bye
Ravens- win
@ Jets- win
Cinn- loss
@ Mia- win
Pats- loss
@ Jax- loss
@ Was- win
Mia- win
@ Cle- win
NYG- win
@ Phi- loss

10-6 and thats with losing both Pats games but sweeping both NYJ and Fins.

More likely 9 and 7 with a split with the Jets.

I think I was fair with likely losses, I think Was is a win in was, I think we beat the G-men at home, I think we beat Den and the Cowboys at home as well.

I think we get into the playoffs as a wild card with either a 10 and 6 or 9 and 7 record.

Lorenzo Booker is going to run for 100 yards, TG is going for 200 yards receiving and a KR for a TD, and Beck is going to throw for 400 in one of the games you have vs. Miami.

Sounds good to me.

Of course, Lynch's 200 yards, with Evans 150, JP's 450, Parrish's punt return for a TD, McGee's KO return for a TD and Whitner's game winning INT return for a TD in OT will cancel it all out.

Sorry but that's not good enough. If you told your boss that you had a below average year, and next year was going to be worse, but 2008 was going to be better, you'd be out the door in a hurry.

I'm not expecting playoffs, but a winning season (9-7) had better happen.

I will accept an 8-8 year since we are kind of still rebuilding. I guess it depends how we lose our games, if they are close games that we lose because the other team is deeper, than I won't have a hard time getting over it. But if we start losing to teams like Miami, I think we will have regressed.

Lynch is gonna tear it up and Pos is gonna be a one-man wrecking crew.

9 wins would be a great season for this young team that has the hardest schedule in the league. Playoffs in 08!

I say maybe 1 win but Cleveland had a good draft so don't even know if we get 1 win

I think we will be a 7-9 team this year with an outside possibility of getting more wins. I will be very happy with a 7-9 finish because of what we lost and all of the new young players. Losing no ground to last year represents a heluva achievement and means our young players are stepping it up... and most of them will have more upside to boot where as our departed vets were heading for the downside.

Fact remains our D is not completely fixed, and our O will have to carry us some. Our O is an unproven commodity at this junction regardless of upgrades. Does JP get better or regress, does the OL gel and dominate some, and was Dockery and Walker worth the price we paid, do our 2nd - 4th WR's step it up this year.

Lots of questions reamin, but to me a 7-9 season tells me were moving forward and getting better with youth instead of aging veterans.

I think anyone looking for 9 wins or more is already setting themsleves up for dissapointment. We lost vets and replaced them with youth.... we're going to have growing pains as the team learns grows, and improves throughout the season. On top of all that we have a very demanding schedule, there are no cakewalks.

I agree. The first 12 games are tough. Fins, Jags and Wash. are toss up games. But you have to give them the edge considering they are the home team.
